I have seen J&J, DYE, Smart Parts and more barrels on the new x-mags on the AGD site.

I bought a red ULE body for my red ULE e-mag.

Does AGD have a recomendation for a cocker threaded barrel??

Um... Well, if you are happy with the one you are using now, just get the same one in cocker threads. A good barrel for twist lock would still shoot the same on cocker threads...

AGD suggests a Crown Point. Hard to find in cocker threads though.

prolly something not over ported?

I mean, a tube is a tube is a tube, shoot pvc, it will still shoot the same. Smoothness effects everyting a little, but not enough to realy matter.

Just worry about your porting, that is waht makes or breaks alot of efficiency

Crimson, I came across those threads about crown point barrels. That's what prompted my post.

I just don't want to fall into the Freak barrel category because so many others have them. I want a good barrel that matched my marker.

So far I have found that the porting should not start till after 8 inches.

Would a J&J 2 piece or ceramic fall into this category?

You should get the one (of the higher end ones) that matches your gun the best

depend if you want a system or just a barrel. I picked up ag WGP kaner barrel kit for 130 shipped. came with 4 backs(684,687,689,691) and 10,12 and 14" front. they shoot fine. small portings too. I got rid of freak set for this. (I had too many cocker thread markers, and this gave me basically 3 barrels) I've heard good stuff about J&J and CP, for both kits and single barrels. There are very few bad barrels out there...

99% of barrels will shoot VERY much the same

buy whichever one you think looks coolest on the ule

it really doesnt make a difference... any decent barrel will shoot consistently with good paint... even more if you stick to just one brand

I bought a Teardrop. Cheap, yet good barrel. Plus it looks awesome with the ULE.

You could also get a Boomstick. They look good on ULE's in certain colors, and over at www.paintballgateway.com, they are only $60 right now.

I'd get a J&J Edge kit with a red tip. Good price at Paintballdiscounters.com

If you own a freak I recommend you purchase a boomstick tip from White Wolf Airsmithing http://www.whitewolfairsmithing.com/barrels.htm. They come in various lengths/colors and sell for about $44.00.

Makes a Freak very accurate.
