View Full Version : AO First Look! Logic Ripper Frame

CoolHand

I wanted you here at AO to be the first to see our new Ripper Frame for the Impulse.

It is a 90 Deg frame, which uses standard IR3 grips.

It has an aluminum fully adjustable trigger (Pull Weight, Pre-Travel, & Post-Travel) and is magnetically actuated.

These frames move the grips on your Impulse forward over an inch, giving your Imp better balance.

We were also thinking of you WAS board guys, rumor has it that they will be producing an LCD version, and since these frames use genuine WDP Grips (Notice the LCD Windows) you've got some place to put it.

They will be available at the end of next week.

Removed by Moderator - please confine your selling links and all to our Dealers Forum. Feel free to do that over at the Dealers forum and place a link to that thread here if you like. Thanks, cphilip

EDIT: No problem, sorry Mod, didn't mean to step on anyone's toes, just didn't think the dealer's forum would get much traffic. Thanks for the save.

If you are interested, or just have questions, click here (http://www.automags.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=800131#post800131) to go to the dealer's forum.

WDP has patented many things, but I am fairly certain that the 90 deg frame angle is a bit too broad for that.

I buy the grips from WDP, so I am not copying their products, I am just reselling them.

The frames don't come with any grips, so you can choose what color you want. I stock Blue, Alien Skin, and Pearl.
IR3 Grips are available many places, so I figured that people would rather choose their own.

Thanks for the compliments.

Why is it called 'ripper'? Is this project something to do with Jim who started the original ripper line of products and guns?

If not you really ought to call it something else...

It does look good though :) I like vert frames.

CoolHand
05-14-2003, 07:38 AM
Nope, has nothing to do with Jim.

I was originally gonna call it the "Gut Hook", but that sounded a bit disgusting after a little thought.

I wasn't trying to horn in on the guy's brand name, I just liked the sound of it.

Its just a name anyway, its not etched on the frame anywhere, so I can change it before the official release.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I'd recommend creating your own brand name, otherwise poeple will think it is something to do with Jim. I did.

Maybe 'hooked'? sounds kind of cool, Logic 'Hooked' Frame... but I would avoid hooker ;)

Lookin nice, makes me wish i had an imp :)

I'm gonna mosey over to the dealer forum and see if there's pricing info up yet, i may have to pick up a cheap imp when my funds allow me to, imps without a doubt have the coolest selection of frames at the moment (here we go Y grip! :p)

Looks good. Does it fit on a gun that doesn't have a 15* ASA?

The frame will fit with a vert maxflo, only if you have a 15 deg ASA, but the stock vert foregrip will work just fine. The vert reg and the gadget grips are just a little too fat to clear the guard.

Something had to give, in order to suck the frame that far forward.

Thank you for your compliments.

make one for a matrix and I'll be happy... that trigger looks perfect for walking.

CoolHand
05-14-2003, 05:58 PM
Thanks.

I am thinking of doing these for a few other markers.

Anyone here interested in one to fit a Mag?

i dont think one person would say no! And deffinitely, make one fit for the e-mag, it shouldnt be that hard to re arrange the solenoid and board, a little bit of a hastle to get the solenoid to pull down correctly, but im sure you can figure it out!

yes i totally agree with you here. i will buy one in a heart beat if you make on for a matrix and sell it at that price. i really dont feel like spending $200+ on the 90* frame made by Evolve. tell us if you make one for different markers. thanks

I will have to go have a chat with Tom, to make sure my parts won't void your warranties.

If I could get that pulled off, I think we would do a Mag frame at least.

Thanks for your support.

I would definately buy one if you made one for an E-Mag.

if it's supposed to be like a Angel frame, why not name it the opposite....like the devil...or demon....or...hell i don't know.. i should be studying for my final ;)

i whipped out a thesaurus here are some demon-like names:

hellion, daemon, wraith, devil, fiend, spawn, gargoyle,

the only thing i dont like about it is how fat the trigger looks. maybe its just me but it makes it look a little crowded

Is it possible to make it fit with a vert max flow? I want one but don't want the 15 degree unless i can get one to match my anno (the blue dust looks like it would match perfectly) so you think i could re drill the holes or something to move it a little further back?

dude, make one for my RT mag

Marchborne
05-16-2003, 02:46 PM
I like it, but even a sweet vert frame won't make me buy an Impulse...

But, if you made 'em for the mag, you've got a buyer (especially if you don't neglect the single-trigger fanatics in the crowd (hint)).

If I move the bolts forward, it cuts the trigger guard in half.

However, if you would like one, I can have a 15 deg ASA anoed at the same time, so they would both match your marker. Blue dust is no problem.

I'll just need a good pic, so the ano can be matched, or a part off the marker would be better.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your interest.

Ryan, If you make one for a e-mag/x-mag that does not void the warranties put me down for one and you can ship it at the same time as my black x-mag i have pre ordered with you

Edit: the grip will most likely be finished first though:D oh well im still waiting

make it for an emag and you have a definate buyer right here. Doesnt' matter if it voids the warrenty b/c i already voided it with the emagnum board. Plus, I'm getting paid soon, so I'll have a good amount of money for a while.

as soon as I get an Impulse(few weeks) I'd love to have one.

Too bad this was not available when i had my emag..or i might have kept it....

Either way, I'll end up getting one soon.

Thanks

Just so you guys know, I am leaving on a trip tomorrow, and I won't be returning until June 16th.

If it looks like I have dropped off the world, I probably have. :D

But never fear, I will plug in wherever I can to check on you guys, so keep the suggestions comming.

I will upload a CAD mochup when I get the Mag frame done.

See you guys later.

Personaly I like the OTB frame a little better. Ive never used the logic frame but my old imp had the OTB frame and it rocked. but im opened minded so i guess if i get another imp ill buy one instead of the OTB to compare the two.

I really like it, but I don't have 1) the money for it and 2) I gave away my stock tray.

Yes sir, we are producing an Automag version.

We are currently retooling, but once that is finished, we will begin aluminum prototyping for the RT Pro/Classic frame.

There is another thread in the Dealer's Forum that gives details and specs.
