My buddy is trying to get into the commercial anodizing business, and i've talked him into doing some paintball stuff on the side. Believe it or not, when you're doing anodizing for companies you dont get upwards of 250 dollars for 10 small parts!

Anyhow, just to check out his capabilities I gave him my emag and told him to go to town on it.

IT is SOOOO sweet. Nothing else like it.

He's got all the dye's ready, so if anyone else wants a fade like this it'll only be 100 bucks, that includes stripping your old anodizing, polishing, and coating. You have to pay return shipping and this is an introductory offer.

I can even count all the colors, I think its like a 5 color fade.

Alright well explain this. I think he dipped it in aluminum before hand, cuz this is what it looked like before and this pic is CERTAINLY not photoshopped.

And you can ask anyone that was at AO day or Jon, they know my valve has special colored properties.

still... where the valve touches the rail there is a smear of purple color that shouldnt be there, the very bottom of the grip is not anodized, and the air in the bottom corner of the trigger frame was also somehow anodized.

And there are other tell tail signs of photoshop (or similar) work. The barrel. And other things.

Before trying to pull crap like that, make sure the forum you do it on does not have people who KNOW what they are looking at.

I could rip that to pieces but will instead advise that you just admit your sloppy photo editing and call it a day. :rolleyes:

If someone prepped their markers and it negatively affected its looks/operation, you can bet that your days on AO are over. I can understand about a “joke”, but this is NOT a joke when you openly state a story that is highly plausible (minus the actual crappy photoshopped picture) given the AO membership, and add a PRICE to the whole thing.

And I bet they would be quite upset to send you their marker only to have you do a photoshop “job” on it.

You may not consider this fraud, but I would put it borderline minimum.

Next time you want to tell a joke, I would advise you start it with “Three guys walk into a bar….” And don’t involve money, shipping of equipment, or anything else that this “joke” involved. I would also advise deleting this thread before more people see it.

I knew some people would get pissed at me, but when someone accused me of fraud I figured i'd joke around some more.

OOOOOooooh no, it's green all right. Someone here on AO got everything powdercoated. All of the rail(including where the body goes), the valve, everything was powdercoated green. I saw Sam's E-mag at AO NE Day III, it looks surprisingly good and the powdercoated doesn't seem to affect the tolerances of anything. :D

I found the joke hilarious, and must admit that if people had striped their guns and sent them to mossman with 100 bucks after looking at a picture of an emag overflowing with neon colors then it would've been even funnier. Good one!
