I'm getting a mag today and I know that this has probably been posted but I was wondering what is a good barrel for a mag. Price limit is about $70

I would look at Custom Products or Lapco barrels. Both great for the price.

one company to stay away from is SP, i own a 14inch AA and i hate the thing, i just keep it cause its so large bore i could shoot malted milk balls (or BE paint).

but 90% of barrel choice is personal preferance...

How could anyone hate the AA. Well its your opinion. If it was me i would look at the J&J edge kit.

for exactly $70 you can get a CP 2 piece shipped.

www.customproducts-az.com (prices are wrong on the site..they are $30 per back and front.)

yeah, for the money, I love a CP 1 piece- 12 or 14".... they are awesome, and I like how they aren't too flashy.

Get a J&J ceramic...can't go wrong. Cost $40 new + S&H. Get one used for $30 shipped..look in misc for sale stuff of this site.

Use the rest of the money and buy paint.

I would go for a custom products one piece, or a dye ultralite. the CP would be my first choice though.

i would go Lapco or J&J i have used both and they seam to be pretty inexpensive good all around after markedt barrels ..

Fro Lapco i a bigshot and for J&J I would go Cermaic. they both clean out well and can shoot most feild paint well

I've got a 14" AA and I love it. It's great barrel. I paid $140.00 for it after taxes, but don't forget, that's Canadian pesos. We get hosed on everything up here.

all americans are great great barrels, you can try and get a used boomstick or something along those lines.

look in the Misc. B/S/T forum you could pick up a nice boomstick maybe, a couple different bore size CP's, A lapco autospirit *small* and a bigshot *big*, a couple crown points :D , or basically anything you want.

Moral of this story, buy used cause new is overrated.

Thanks everyone. I ordered my mag today and the guy at the store threw in a cheap barrel for $15. It's a Crown Point barrel(by AGD) so I'll be upgrading eventually so keep postin' if you want.

The new Hammerhead barrel kits are pretty sweet. They are pricey, but go look at the "Feedback" section. If you don't wanna spend the money on an entire kit, you can buy a one peice barrel.
