I just ordered a PMI pure energy tank (68ci 3000psi) for my RT Pro. This is my first experiance with n2, so is this a good n2 tank to start out with?

i have a pmi pure energy 48ci 3000psi and it is a peice of crap. it weights like a billion pounds (more like 4) and the pin valve leaks a little air. its also retarted lookin. itll make ur RT look like crap to and feel like crap. u might wanna get a 68/4500 by crossfire down the line

i never really liked pmi ever since my friend reg failed and draind the air threw the pin valve.

I have the same tank you ordered, and have had no problems with it. just make sure that the tank's output pressure is high enough to use for a mag.

pmi's are good tanks the new ones have a rebuildable reg so you dont have to send it in if it breaks
you output pressure will be fine its either 800 or 850psi

i have lots of beef with pmi.

i had bought a used tank that was broken, overfilled or something. so i called pmi, and they said to send it to them with a 20$ money order, i did so. It came back 2-3 weeks later, they did NOTHING AT ALL to the tank, AND they put a 20$ COD on it. Now, ive paid 40$ for them to do nothing. So i call up and scream at them a bit. They tell me theyll send me 2 new burst discs and a check for 20$. 2-3weeks later, i recieve a package... open it... one burst disc.. no check. Scam artists i tell you.. scam artists.

Just hope it never breaks.. they perform nicely (the tanks not the company) when working.

EsPo... I dunno what you are talking about, pmi gave me free stickers and replaced my friends piranha internals that went to crap. I've owned a ton of pure energy tanks and all have performed awesome.

68/4500, 45/4500, 88/4500, 48/3000, 68/3000, 88/3295, and a few other ones. But They have been my favorite and will always be my favorite tanks :D

was his piranna under warranty? did i say they didnt perform well? are you just trying to start with me again? this is that same tank that the dude sent me 3 weeks late, you know all about that... remember, im an a hole. Anyway, when they work, which they usually do, they are awesome.

so your saying free stickers makes them a great company?

also.. if you dont believe me, why would i lie.. theres no point, im just giving this kid/guy/whatever the down low on them. then again, i have some of the worst luck.. ever.

smee- your tank weighs so much cause its a steel tank.. all steel tanks weigh that much, hence fiber costing more.

I'm saying I have had a great experience with them and everone at my field has a.) conquest b.) maxflow or c.) pure energy ... most common is the pure energy, no one ever has problems and they tend to work great.

I love the tanks and I'm trying to convince them to buy one, PMI is one of the best companies in the world, My friend blew the burst disk on his 48/3000 (stupid fill station with booster...) and they sent a replacecment within a week. His piranha was 2-3 years old, way over warranty, they sent parts without asking.

I love pmi and will forever... :D

Some people have bad experiences, sorry to hear that but I have had nothing but good.

And I'm sorry about how I acted before, it was immature, and don't try to use reverse pyschology... it only works when I do it to others :D

I've got a Pure Energy 4500 reg (one of the new rebuildable ones) with a 68/4500 bottle (bought the reg and bottle separately) and it works great on my X-Valved mag.

I have a 68/4500 PMi PE tnak and it's probably the best pat on my gun. it's so sweet, i haven't been able to get a full fill yet though, the field i go to only fills to 3000. but otherwise PMI's are sweet.

Hey I have a two 68/3K tanks one steel, the other carbon fiber. Well the steel tank was sold without a TC # (required for use in Canada) and the tank was aready 3 years old, and they replaced it with a new Carbon fiber one for free!.

I have a PMI 5000psi and it pales in comparison to an adjustable tank (specifically a flatline) on the RT. It's output pressure isn't enough to make the RT reactive so it's basically like shooting a classic mag with it on there. It works good on my classic mag but sucks on the RT. If you want my advice get rid of the preset and buy an adjustable, I guarantee you will have a big smile on your face afterwards.

yeah I everyone I know has had bad expiriences with Pure Energy. Mine spontaneoulsy blew out all of it's inerds, I have no idea how. My other friend's leaks out of the gauge, another guy I know bought one and it did the same thing as mine, and this guy I was at a tourney with his had something bouncing around inside the tank so he called the company and they said "well is it leaking" "no" "then I'm sure it's nothing"......yeah, and mine had no consistency for crap (before it sef-destructed, when I would get under 1000 my balls would start dropping at like 20ft. SEND IT BACK! I just bought a $70 crossfire and it shoots A LOT better.

odd... my pmi tanks have made RT mags and RT-Pro's very reactive, easy to get into runaway. It was the crossfire and centerflag tanks that were bad.

I also did some testing with my cocker.

with the handheld chrono I got +-2 with my pmi tank, it jumped to 4 when I ran out of air and switched to the centerflag. Tried a crossfire and it had horrible dropoff, couldn't shoot a string of 10 shots without the last few balls falling 20-30 feet in front of me.

That is odd, I however still would recommend an adjustable so you don't run into the not enough/too much dilemma.

Adjustables scare me... especially apoc's.

I traded my 45/45 apoc straight for an 88/3295

That thing scared me... blew up many many pieces of macro and liked to creap (even after being sent in)

But they are GREAT for filling other tanks. Get some SS line, a 7/16" wrench, some teflon tape, and a SS quick disconnect, hook the output up to the hose than the quick disconnect to the preset tank you want filled, turn on the tank and slowly turn up the pressure in the apoc. should go up to around 1500, and if the tanks are the same size it'll divide the pressue between the tanks evenly. And than you turn off the apoc (better if you have a slidecheck but quick disconnect will work) you just unscrew the SS hose slowly, and it'll leak out the air slow and than eventually it'll stop. Basically its a way to share air without a fill station. But don't try this unless you are willing to. I was scared ****less when I was about to do this. thought it'd blow up. but we were desperate to try out my cocker. (The thing was the apoc would creep, but once we filled tanks it would be fine. On a gun it would creep and overpressurize)

I can't believe I wasted my 1000th post on this... DOH :(

as long as you get a carbon fibre tank you will be happy. it feels like i have a sack of potatos attached to my gun with that steel tank.
