We're planning on doing a nice day of pb and following up with dinner at the Dave&Busters in Ontario. If you have any questions you can PM or use the email button below to contact me. I am trying to get enough money together so I got a Question, Is this going to be a Walk-on fields or Speedball fields?
For the people that havent played SC before they have 10-15 speed ball fields that are self reffed, and the charge is only $10 for all day, For walk-on fields they have about the same number but people/reffs are so slow you only play about 5 per day, and its $25 for the day
SC allso has all day 4500psi fills for $10, they have a fixed station by the walk-on fields and a mobil station at the speedball fields. For C02 users the only fill is at the walk-on station.
You can start at the walk-on fields and move to the speedball but they charge you the walk-on price.

So lets get an idea of what people wants(so I know how much cash I will need:) ). I personaly will probaly just play speedball if I can go because thats were I end up all day inway even when I pay Walk-on price

Like Nobody said, the rec games are kind of slow paced and you don't get much play in. If you go for the speedball fields (and I recommend you do) we should make sure there isn't a tourny or anything going on, as it limits the number of available fields.

Is this only for people with mags? Besides myself, only three of my friends shoot mags but I haven't asked any of them yet though. I organise private groups pretty often at SC and could bring a bunch of folks if you don't mind non-mag players, but I guess it would defeat the purpose of being an AO day right? Have you decided if you guys are playing the fields or speedball?

I would assume its for anyone that wants to come...mag owner or not. We are just going to have a good time. As far as the "say if we do end up with a 100 people" scenario. I think the best thing would to just organize into make shift teams and do maybe a little competition...some teams would sit out at certain times. Seems the only feasible way to do it.

Question is, do I bring a change of clothes, or show up in Renaissance era clothing? :)

Im not to shure yet but I may bring my little cousin. He's been buggin for me to take him Balling and he turns 10 next week so he can play at SC now:) I had him try on my mask and it fits him so Im putting together my backup Mag. If he does play it will probaly only be a half day. So whats every one think? Would people be cool with the little guy and try not to bunker him his first time out? Hes a little birtbike ridein BadAss that can handle some pain and I dont think he will have iny problems but still want to take it easy on him his first time out. So let me know, He knows Im playing put I havent told him I was thinking about takeing him yet.

I had the date of the Ren Faire wrong, it's 9 and 10 Aug, so I won't be showing up to D&B in period garb. I'm trying to convince the broadsword (chuckles to Nobody077) that we can make the day at SC. If we can, I don't mind loaning out my RTP to Flyboy to give a shot, assuming that I can figure out what is causing my Z-grip to not cycle and he doesn't mind trying the Z as well.

Heck, I don't mind anyone blowing some paint down the pipe if I get the Z puzzled out. Might give some people an idea as to what it's going to be like shooting a Y-grip.

You can put a warp on a standard feed, I think I even have a long enough peice of warp hose in my box. If I can get my warp working right I will use it on my MAG or maby my Cocker not shure yet.

Hey flyboy it's no biggy. I also have a H/R minimag body I could loan ya as well. You just use your barrels, rail, valve & frame and I'll supply the warp and body. Unless you can get someone else to loan ya a body. either way I'm cool with it.

I know I've got a foot+ of warp hose in my bag. I bought a couple of feet when I knew I was getting the Z, wanted to be sure I had enough.

I have no bloody clue what the problem with the Z is, it's a first gen frame, had the wings on it like the Benchie 2x frames. Took the wings off and put it on the RTP. Gasses up just fine and there is resistance to the trigger, but no cycle. I haven't adjusted the sear rod out, but I have shimmed it 1/16th" (cut down a screw and put the piece between the trigger and rod) with no luck. I'm not looking forward to the thought of getting a RA and sending it back to HQ.

Even if I don't get the RTP working, I can put the Warp on my Micro, so that will be available for "testing".

As for the "Mini-Magger", I have no problem with having him out for the day. I even promise to keep my Marine mouth clean and watch his back. :)

CMDane, I had a similar problem when i installed my I-frame. My mag would gas up, but immediately upon gassing up, fire. Then after that, I had resistance on the trigger but wouldn't fire again. My problem was that the pin holding the sear in the rail was not far down enough. So I took a small c-clamp and small piece of wood and pressed it in further. And bingo bango bongo, no more problems. Hope that helps.

I called AGDJon this morning to find out if my old RA was still good and explained the problem to him. He said that all the advice to adjust the sear rod was correct, but in the wrong direction. I need to adjust the rod shorter, not longer. When the marker gases up, the rod face is pressing hard against the trigger, not with the credit card thickness space that needs to be there.

So, I'll be going through the heat, adjust, assemble, tear-down, repeat ad nauseum process tonight.

If it works out, Warped LX Z RT Pro gonna be putting some paint down the pipe in a couple of weeks. w00t w00t!!!

I was checking out the Sc village website ( www.scvillage.com )and it states that a private group requires a $240 deposit. Given that there is only two weeks left til the date and the fact that someone has to collect a deposit from people and also sign their name as having the rest of the money on the day of the event, I think we should just do this as a walk-on. What do you guys think?

Why not just have the people who have rsvp'd put in 10 bux to someone to cover the private game? That would be around 250 bux (give or take people who don't put in) I'd really prefer rec games and my 10 bux paypal is ready to go.

If we can get a list of at least 30 people who are going for sure, and a collection of at least 240$ bux I will just put up the money and not deal with the hassle of collecting, because I'm pretty sure you get your deposit back if the entire group is there(I'll call tomorrow to make sure.) So now, those who are absolutely going reply to the thread with how many people in your group. Remember only those who are POSITIVELY going for SURE for your ENTIRE group. If someone *might* come don't put them on at all it will make it easier, that way when we get a list of people going for sure anyone else that might come is just a bonus.

Last time a group played SC we just meet in the parking lot, luckly most of us ended up near the speed-ball fields so it wasent hard to find everyone. I plan to park in the same area, hopefully with enough room to put up a easy-up for some shade.
How about the after party? I havent heard much about D&B's, Is this planed for right after the game, and who plans on makeing it there?

Im shure well have more than 15 people show I think the 15 number is 100% shure, I allso dont see a problem with takeing over a speedball field, as long as we move around and offer for others to mix in the 2 reffs for the 10 fields wont even bother us. Luckly most SC sponcered teams practice on Sundays, so we shouldent need to wory about fields being closed for that.

Im not shure what SC sells now but they use to sell RP gold, there site lists $55.85 for 2000rd case. I realy hate ordering paint online, I alwase get mine from the local shop. Where do you live? I may know of a good shop near you.

Ya, there's a few places you can buy paint. C&C on Frontage, good if your coming in from OC. Gramps on 2nd and River, usually a good selection, but they can be jerks. PPC off Serfas club is another. I think their paint selection is only so so. Prolly go with Gramps since it's so close.

I just checked SC's website and they dont list a deadline for private groups, I also tryed to call them but dident get an anwser or even a message machine. I think though that they would need atleast 1 week notice, we may need to just try our luck and if we have enough people convince them to let us play as a simi-private group

Hey guys,
I just talked to a buddy of mine that plays at SC regularly. He said that the walk-ons don't play the tourney fields at all. He said that if we want to play the tourney fields we pay 10 bucks and are restricted to the tourney fields for the day. He also said in doing this, it's best to set up teams because generally teams are there practicing. It's easier to get playing time on the fields if we have teams set up.

If you only pay the $10 then you are limited to only the tourny fields but if you pay for "Walk-on" then you can go to the tourny field iny time you want, they just dont include them in the walk-on rotation. I personaly plan to do the Tourny feilds all day as I seem to endup ther after the lunch break even when I do pay full price. No-Prob, The main reason I like the speedball more as SC is all the cheaters on the walkon fields, the speed ball fields are self reffed so most people cheat less. If we have enough people and they do let us have a private group then Ill play the walk-ons with you guys.

The cut-off is one week before to have your deposit paid. They usually have a waiting list for private groups.

Everyone else: What is the plan? After all we play THIS saturday. My girl isn't totally comfortable playing speedball due to the fact she fears being bunkered. So likes to hide and what not. I'm down for either but if we do just speedball I'll probably be by myself.

Yes, I don't like speedball at all. I have ALOT more fun in rec games running around walls/buildings/trees. I'm sure there will be plenty of people to get a rec game going at least, plus I'm bringing some friends I hope that will be their first time playing sorta so speedball wouldn't be for them.

Hey Dan, Alex told me that he'll probably let you borrow one of his guns. I will also bring one of my backups, however, no LX on it. Either or, if you go, there will be plenty of guns for you to use.

I'll need to borrow a tank and a hopper from someone too..the tank I had had to go back to the manufacturer at the last minute (doesn't that always happen?) and I've been Revy (or Halo or Egg II) deficient for quite a while...when you know your X-Mag is going to take a while you just wait and plan to splurge when it all comes in..

Ok, so the list of people that were going to show wasent close, and we only had 7 at D&B's, But for those that did make it out we had a great time. I Should get some pics up in a few hours, but will start a new post(will add the link here when its ready). The next time we plan for a SC village day we will have to plan it for another day with a tourny at another local field, It was nice haveing the fields mostly to our selfs. Ok now to work on getting the pics up:)
