Slide Checks?

Wondering what you guys use for slide checks? I posted about this yesterday however I dont want to use a proconnect. I can use the macroline as a disconnect, I just need something to bleed the leftover gass after the flatline is turned "off". does anyone have any suggestions on a small slide check?

after you turn off the flatline, shoot the gun several times to bleed the excess gas out of the line...

This may or may not help you but this is the current set up on my gun and yes that is steel but it may work with macro. The cirlced piece near the valve is a 32* disconnect/slide check.

I think what you are looking for is a 'dump valve'. Here is one I found in black: dump valve (http://www.fatbobspaintball.co.uk/acatalog/Expansion_Chambers__hoses_and_fittings.html)

Another idea is to use a 3-way like this one:

Connect an on/off like this one to one of the female ends:

Connect your straight Marco line to the other end. Once you turn the air source off, simple open the valve and bleed the pressure.

Personally, I don't like slide-checks because each one I've had has gone bad at the most in-opprotune time. I use the Pro-connect simply for the reduced weight over the slide check or 3-way solution.

Ignatz thanks for the post, good advice.

Here is my problem, I want there to be ZERO preasure in my line. That is kinda why I dont want a proconnect. I dont think you can bleed the line past the female connection.

The flatline has an on/off so why wouldint i bleed the whole line?

any suggestions guys?

I have the same concern you do about there being pressure behind the Pro Connect. My tank has an on/off so I turn the tank off. I disconnect the Pro Connect and all of the pressure on the valve is relieved. Next, I reconnect the Pro Connect so that the volume of air that was behind the Pro Connect is now distributed partially to the line and partially to the valve and then disconnect it again. I keep doing this until I can easily disconnect the marco line thus leaving zero pressure on the tank output. I reassemble everything before playing... just the way it works for me. HTH.

P.S. The 3-way above can be had in Nickel. It also just occrued to me that you could use it at the tank... hmm, where's that on/off now?

I don't think the purge valve cooper-t has would help you without adding some more parts to your line, but just trying to help.

gtrsi the set that is shown in the picture allows me to have zero pressure in the line. All I do I pull the slide check, disconnect the line into the valve, turn off the tank, move the slide check forward and that releases all the air from the line.
