Well is it? Has anyone tried it? What did it require? How does it work now? Do you like it? If you have anything else to add please do so. Thanks for any help.

Um... no.

To elaborate, the you would need a new tank that will not explode when filled to 4500psi, as the 3000psi one will not hold up to the extra pressure. Then, you will need the new 4500psi regulator as the old 3000psi regulator will break down under 4500psi of pressure. By the time you are finished "updating" your old tank... you now have a new 4500psi system and your 3000psi system in it's entirety is sitting in your parts box.

In short, the old parts will all blow up/break down under the addtional pressure.

In Shortest... No.

well the bottle wont explode, thats why there are burts disks in there. they are over engineered and will prob hold close to 7000 psi on a 3000 bottle, its the regulator that wont hold up to the preasure.

Well, explode figuratively, not literally... but if there was a problem with the burst disk and/or the tank is damaged, it may rupture.

It is, however, illegal to fill a HPA bottle above it's rated pressure.

Well thats the way AGD is: buy the time your done upgrading to the finished product. You have enough leftover parts to build another one.

somewhere on teh net there is a pic of an exploded tank. They, a hydro testing company, defeated all the safety features and the tank blew at around 12k psi.

easiest way to jump to a 4500psi system is to sell your 3k and buy a whole new 4.5k setup.
