My mag was one of the first one made, I'm looking at going smart parst freak, but I just wanted to check to make sure current mags still had the twist lock style barrel, as there was some speculation at our field that the newer mags may have thread style bearrels.
Thanks for any help.

X-Mags (The newest mags) have Cocker threaded bodies.

The ULE and Slug bodies from AGD all take Cocker threaded as well. These are aftermarket upgrades.

Centerfeed twist-lock barrels are different too. E-Mags and others can come with a Centerfeed body. Although this is still a twist lock type barrel, its is a bit different. My SydArm has 2 nubbins and has the alignment groove cut in adifferent place.

If you have an older mag, either standard or power fed, you can use the standard twist lock barrells.

HTH.

MOST mags are coming with the twist lock system. HOWEVER, the new ULE bodies/Slug bodies that people are getting are cocker threaded vert feed bodies. They are backward compatible to all the mags EXCEPT the original RT.
