I'm getting a Mac Dev hammer for my Mini Black Magic / Eclipse Eblade set up. The Eblade manual stresses that the sear lug on your hammer MUST have a squared off tip, or you need to modify it. I couldn't clearly tell from the picture on the Mac Dev site. Does any one own this hammer, or happen to know? Manike? You're all knowing... Thanks in advance guys.

i've herd nothing special about the MacDev hammers. Freeflow hammers are and always will be the one on top.

Actually the Free Flow hammer has a rounded sear lug. So no, it wouldn't work. But thanks for the help.

you can also get a squared lug from them. What's wrong wiht a rounded one? I got one, i love it.

doh! U have an Eblade. It's better to have a faster cycling marker wiht an Eblade. I would go with the Tungsten Lite, rather than the 70gram one. And yes, i believe they do come with a squared lug.

Cool, again, thanks for the help. So Free Flow makes a lighter hammer too? Cool, I'll check it out. I know their internals are top notch.

When you order something from the Freeflow site, you can choose whether you want a round lug, or flat lug.

Yes, they are squared (flat), not rounded. And yes, I use one in my custom cocker.

Russkix, you're saying the Mac Dev is squared? Ok cool, thanks.

you can drop whatever lug you want, in whatever cocker hammer you want. so it dosen't really matter one way or the other.
