Does anyone know the difference between the Smart Parts All American front (Freak set) and the Freak front (Freak set)? As far as looks, obviously I see the difference. Im wondering about performance difference? Please give me your opinions and or knowledge about the barrels.

Thanks

there is no performance difference. Just different looks.

Not sure how accurate this is but a friend of mine explained that the AA tip is more gas efficient and shoots a straighter ball while the freak tip is less gas efficient and kinda lobs a ball.

If this is all or partially incorrect someone please comment.

It is not possible for a well machined tip to change the trajectory of a ball, shooting at 300fps.

Is that efficiency thing right? I couldnt imagine someone buying a barrel that lobs balls. What about one being more quiet that the other.

Have both, here's the deal.....

Performance-same.Smart Parts considers the AA thier TopLine.
AA-very slightly more effeciant.
TearDrop- Shoots clean faster.
AA- not offered in 10"

I like the teardrop better for appearance.AA looks a little plain.

I too have had both, I've never noticed a difference in performance or efficancy, from the inside of the barrel they're identical, same porting, only the freak front has some milling on the ouside around the porting.
