I'm considering getting an Impy, is it really worth it to get the Vision Eye?

I use a non-vision Impy w/ Halo B and everything works just fine for me. I figure that the vision is just another thing to go wrong. I had a 2k1 vision impulse and it would occasionally stop working during games. I'd hafta turn it off and then on again, which is by no means instant.

Anyone else?

I think the vision eye is worth it. I know several people that all shoot impys, vision and non-vision. All the ones with vision chop every now and then while the people with vision hardly ever chop (maybe once in 15 cases and this might be because one of them forgot to turn the eye on :p )

From what I've seen all the people that have bought non-vision impys regeret it and wish they would have bought the one with the eye.

yea get the eye, you cant really go wrong with it. The resale is higher too.

Thanks, is the ROF decreased by the eye?

Not sure about the newest Imps but on my friends with vision off it's capped at 13-14bps while with vision on it's capped at 20bps.

exactly what acemanb said, if you do get a non vision board, a guy on PBN that designed new software (ECS) can reprogram your non vision cricket board with it, has a 25 bps cap, better adjustments and debounce settings. e-paintballoutlet.com sells ths modified boards from him.

I have a non vision /w halo, and NEVER chop...I once stuck a 12vt on it...chop chop chop. If you have halo, get nonvision, or if you wanted you could get non vision and halo (if you dont already have one) and end up with a halo as well, with the same performance.

get a vision, or at least a vision ready imp.

all Impulses are vision ready now. You may want to get a non-vision Imp and wait for the WAS board to come out, which should be before the end of summer. The board is going to cost $150, but it rocks like no other.

What does the WAS board offer?

It's going to be $150 or if you pre-order it from EPBO (http://www.e-paintballoutlet.com) it'll be $135. As stated before it sees ALL paint, even black shell. As for more reliable who knows. The SP board is pretty reliable to begin with. There is no set ROF. It'll shoot as fast as you can pull the trigger. You can also adjust the voltage (two setting), this is to help with First Shot Drop Off which Impulses are infamous for. I've had an oppourtunity to shoot a basic Rat Impulse with a prototype WAS board it it rocked. Very fast!
