How many BPS do you shoot? and what kind of gun do you shoot?

I'm not sure, but i when i stand about 20 feet away from my wall outside and i fire with my i-frame, i can see 6-8 balls come out before they start hitting the wall. i guess thats fast, but i wouldn't know

I shoot 16 constant... with some special stuff on my gun (debounce, simulate mode) I can get 24 on my 2k3 Lasoya timmy. On my mag with a z-grip and x-valve I could get 13 constant.

us STORM boyz out shoot our warps regularly, and they feed at 18bps, so i guess thats quite fast!

I have shot around 12 bps with my trsuty Spyder. I got the trigger pull down to almost nothing, so semi-auto rips on that thing. I can't maintain a steady 12 bps, but on average I can hit 10 or so, if need be. Oh, and I am not using an electro-frame.

I don't know, but I keep getting stopped by reffs so they can check my trigger on my e-mag for full auto :)

I was playing a game and a guy next to me with a timmy saw me shooting and said "damn you can really rip with that E-Mag"

no you don't, unless you're shooting at like 25fps. if you are shooting 8bps at 280fps, then 280/8=35, or 35 feet between each ball.

lol, i know for a fact there wasn't a 35 ft. gap between each ball when i shot at my wall, i had people there watching.

JAM

actually, that's true... IF you could hit 25bps at 300fps,

that would get you 25 balls in the air up to 300 feet away in one second, or approx. 12 ft. between balls (300 ft. / 25 balls). so, if your wall was truly only 20 feet away, the most you could have in the air at once is 2 balls.

And that would be shooting 25 bps, which i doubt you (or anyone) can truly do.

keep on posting i want to hear how you shoot. this kid tells me he can shoot 19 with a stock imp with no mods or vision. just seeing if that is possible for an youngin'

I think most people really have no idea. I also know that most people shoot a lot slower than they think. It also matters how you are checking it. Many people can get off a few shots that fast but not maintain it. Also trigger bounce and ridability matters a lot. If I set my Omen up right it is almost full auto. If a take the trigger and recock pressure to were they should be to be tourney legal then I cannot shoot and maintain half that speed.
With my stock automag I am 6 bps max.

17 constant with my 2k2 with GZ frame.

TippmannMan

19? stock? no nothing? i find that extremely hard to believe. you have to be seizing to do that and even so... i mean come on just think about it. his finger is going back and forth 19 times in the span of a single second. and also i completely agree with hitmanng. it doesnt even really matter either. i hardly need to shoot more than 1 BPS to perhaps 16 BPS when somebody is making a run for it.

EDIT: as for the comment about him being a youngin. how much of a youngin is he? as long as he is around 8 or above i dont see age being a factor in how fast you can fire.

Hoplon
06-05-2003, 12:07 AM
er.. i thought imps come capped at 13bps stock?

I was playing around dryfiring my emag today. If you set the bps cap lower than what your firing it ignores some of your trigger pulls. I kept bumping the bps cap until i couldn't get it to skip anymore and i ended up at 14 in electo mode. With paint in the gun it feels like i'm firing faster but that might just be because of the difference in sound. I know my 12v with xboard and Vortex Impeller doesn't stand a chance of keeping up. It's not difficult to keep the elbow empty if i want to.

When you i look at a line of balls coming out of the gun when i'm firing my fastest it looks like they are only 4 feet away. I did the math and it's actually closer to 20 feet though. Either way good luck runing though it. ;)

i get 12 constant, when i just mess around but i kow i do more in games on my emag, but a friend of mine who is an AGD tech, was testing out my gun after i installed the ULE body and he claimed to cap out my board an it wasnt letting him shoot as fast as he could, and sure enough he does shoot faster with his Xmag...well either way, the mags are the only guns out there that can shoot a full hopper without shootdown or drop off whatever u wanna call it, not to mention even if ure hopper sucks u wont chop with a level ten...not too many markers can compare to that

I'm curious, how do you guys know what you are shooting? How did you measure your bps?

I wanted to know what my old hyperframe was shooting when set at 20bps fullauto and needed someone's help (Thanks Jack&Coke).

More than 1 less than 30.

Well I haven't shot my mag yet, but I have 2 spyders. The mech one can hit 11 or 12 in very small strings but more like 7 or 8 consistantly. The electronic one is capped at 13 and I can shoot at the cap consistantly without problems. The thing I don't understand is how people say that mags are the only things that don't chop. I have a pretty much stock Espirit with a Palmer's Stabilizer and a spring kit, and even on full auto it does NOT chop. It outruns the X-board a whole lot but I can hold the trigger down and empty an entire hopper without a single chop, just a lot of misfires because the X-board cannot keep up. In fact I've chopped a total of 1 ball between both of my spyders, and it was brass eagle paint that sat in my closet for 4 years...1 of them chopped out of the 600 I shot. So a marker that doesn't chop isn't THAT special.

hey bodyboarder, that kid is lying to you. The non-vision impies come capped at 13.?? bps and the vision comes capped at 19-20 (or around there). At least thats what it says in the users manual.

With DUDU settings on my matrix I can consistantly walk 16, and with (I forgot how the setting was) either DDDD or UUUU settings I walked 18+ with paint! Had to up the pressure so much that it cut my finger 3 times getting it set up!!!

TippmannMan
06-05-2003, 06:22 PM
not very accurate but put a certain amount of balls in your hopper and fire away while somebody times you for a second. either that or if you have a good microphone and software which will let you see when you fire

Koosh

Using a microcassete recorder, hooking it to the computer, and checking that in a sound editor, I've found I can max out at 13 bps on my Auto-Response framed Classic valve...

Not bad for a 100% mechanical gun... even though I am actually only pulling 6.5 a second... fast enough for me.

On my cocker with the swing frame i can hit 10 (1.1mm pull) with the e-blade i can hit 14 walking, with my impulse with an I frame i can max out the vision which is 20.

Im guessing 12-14 bps, I never really have mesured it, all I know is that its fast enough for me (paint keeps vanishing from my hopper I dont know why? )

I had a sandridge tf5 autococker. If you have never heard of one, its basicly a autococker with an angel trigger frame, anti chop eye, ram sensor, and awsome electronics. I could shoot 16-18 with mine, but I never really got it tuned out and tested the limits. The orginal owner of Sandridge was able to shoot his sandridge 25bps semi auto and the gun is still said to be capable of higher rates of fire until a faster loader is developed.

I can hit 8 consistently....with NICE accuracy

11-12 for short strings....not too accurate but works for cover fire and such

2-5 being accurate as I can....

this is with My lil e99..... I got the trigger pull half pressing the button just enough so It doesnt fire when I turn it on......I set dads like that starting off for his first gun....he almost shot him self in the foot turning it on cuz he brushed the trigger ever so slightly.....it was funny

Corse when I first learned to do this I had Friendly Fire problems because the way I ran with My gun...I fixed that...thankgod...

I basicly put ring and middle finger at the side the trigger barely over it and just vibrate like my fingers seizeing...cant keep it up too long...feels like I messed up my finger if I try...

I easly out shoot a Xboarded Revvy doing this it seems...

but most the time I just normal pull with ring and middle finger tips, almost like walking...it works

you people are on crack. I understand some people in here hitting 16. but you have to realize your trigger has mad trigger bounce. If I can see someone walk a trigger 16bps without bounce i will be amazed. I shoot my tribal 13 constant w/o trigger bounce. No matter how hard i try i cant get teh thing to bounce.and I ahve checked Sound files and on about 3 different sound files. And for the kids shooting 11-12 bps on mech spyders.. BS that is all i can say. mag users shooting 13 w/o rt again mad BSing going on there. oh and one more thing. 1.1mm trigger pull on a mech cocker... do you have any idea how short that is? and how did you measure this 10th of a mm? Damn cracked out fools. people who boast they can shoot that fast really peaves me. Check your bps the accurate way not by "guestimating"

I agree with everything accept the first part. Ive seen people walk their triggers at 16, 17, and 18bps over a chrono without trigger bounce. Everything else u said was true though.

ok, thanks for the support. and outshooting your hopper means jack. i can outshoot an xboard shooting 10bps. its not hard. even with evo 2s, i can out shoot one on a friends matrix. ..
I am a believer of the 16+bps walk.. I was doing it today. it was nice. (I want a matrix).
