Im looking for a new tank. Im a front player, but im not sure what size to get. Im either thinking about a 45/45, 68/30 or if i can scrounge up enough money, a 68/45. Any suggestions, based on shots/weight/size? Thanks

i use a 88 ci 4500 and it does me fine. while im not a serious tournament player (not in a team) i see no reason why you should go with a small tank just because you play in the front. id say go for the biggest conventional tank you can find: less trips to the fill station.

oh and sorry didnt see the last questions. shots? sorry cant say off the top of my head. i know at least 700 but my mag is a gas hog. weight? sometimes its better to be heavy. it gives you some sort of momentum when you run and whats that force again? fulcrum? torque? well ill just call it the pendulum effect for now. it makes drawing and retracting your gun a lot faster and easier. size? its roughly 9 inches long and 5 inches tall (in a two dimensional sense). feel free to ask any more questions. oh and fyi i have to warn you i dont think the same way most people do so if you want a more mainstream answer you better just wait :)

i personnally wouldnt get anything smaller then a
68/45, but i know ppl with 45/45 and they do fine as long as where ever you play fills to 4500psi. if you can only get 3000psi fill i would definatly NOT recommend a 45/45

if in your area, you can only get 3000psi fills, then don't get a 4500psi bottle, somewhat wasted money. yes, they will still be usable (and in the future, i'm sure 4500 fills can be had).

if 3000psi fills are all you can get, then i vote the 68/3000, a 45/45 filled at 3, just won't give many shots.

if however 4500 fills can be had, i suggest the 68/45 they arn't heavy (at least mine isn't, about the same as a cheap 47/3000). more then enough shots/fill.

make sence? if not i'm sorry, i havn't had a coffee yet this morning.

ok, i guess to clear some things up. I have a stock mag. And the fields i play at fill to 4500, but for practices, we use a scuba fill station, which can get 3000. Thanks for your help.

DOn't mean to intrude on this thread, but you guys with 4500psi tanks... How high do the people at the field usually fill it to? They always stop at 4000psi, because you need the gas to cool down before you can fill again. (I've waited before, it defiantly takes longer than 10minutes to cool enough to get it closer to 4500psi.) =\

Is this the same with 3000psi tanks? I would still think it would be...but does this mean you guys with 3kpsi tanks usually only get it to 2500psi?!

Wierd question I know.. ;) Sorry if it doesn't make sense. =)

I just got a 70/45 worr gas stubby yesterday. I love the size and shape. I play front too. I filled it to 3200 yesterday, and got 849 dry fires off of that, I figure i'll get somewhere between 1000 and 1100 balls out of it. Only problem is it has a small leak, and i'm waiting for WGP to get back to me.

The stubby lets me tuck the gun in real close for when i need to play real tight.

It weighs alot less than my 68/3k flatline.

When the gas cools off you lose pressure, but not that much. Most places fill to the set pressure, and then you lose a few psi. If you want it topped off completly you can go back and get it topped off.

my 4500 psi 68 ci get's filled to 4300 psi abotu and cools off to 4100ish or a little fewer. the tank is mazign a crossfire for 200. Nice size and over 1000+ shots. It'll do you good in the field

if your all about tornies, and play front with a smaller team then get the 45\45. If you think its to small and want around a good 800+ shots then get the 68.

im a back player for a 5man team, and it Just does the trick. How ever my whole team uses 68's front and back, Not one of us ran out in a game yet.

Whoa, I get 900 or more with my 68/4500 on my stock valve level 7 mag

Dcmander, yes, thats true
To eliminate cooling off and getting actual fills you need a water bin full of cool radiated water. My local shop might ghetto rig this and I might be able to get full fills :)

My friend uses a 68/45 Nitro Duck and that seems to work fine for him, and my other friend uses a 45/45 and that thing is just small...but it does its job. Either or will work fine.

id say if your a front man id go 68 4500 ... if your a decent size that is im 5,8 and 140 lbs and play front i opted for the 45 4500 cause im small and the smaller tank seems to help yea i fill up every game bassicaly or every other game but in the woods i use a 68 4500 and yea i get 800 shots of that compared to the 45 wich is only 625 tops .. id say the 68 4500 is the most versitale tank period if your a big guy up front then the new stubby tanks are the bomb but to wide for me to shoulder like my skinny 45 ...and oh yea 45 4500 and 68 4500 are only like 200 from crossfire or pure energy ... oh well good luck
