ya know if you get the right kind of sand in your barrel it will cause sparks. happened to a bud of mine down at Top Gun in here in jersey, quite sandy there.

Yup, the titanium barrel sparks when you shoot...it is the barrel folks, not the gun.

Here's my idea. Fill balls with acetone, seal with epoxy, shoot at flames.

Wait, no that's a terrible idea.

(I am not responsible if you do this.)

I want my timmy to shoot pretty sparks...

Why do other people get to have the pretty sparks. :(

Sparks are perfectly normal with a titanium barrel. It's the single best reason to get a titanium barrel :D

If you want sparks get a titanium barrel, simple.

It's not a problem and it won't cause any harm!

Sparks are cool :) Especially in low light conditions.

I've had the same problem with two guns using my Ti Boomie. Both my Emag and my Cocker was blazing the other day. Its happened to several of my teammates as well. Its pretty common.

First time I was a ti Boomie I thought I was seeing things. I was at the IAO in 2001 and we were standing in the on deck area which since it was woods ball was under the shade of trees and right along the tape line. I look over and there are sparks shooting out of the tip of a barrel. After staring in amazment I was like "what the hell is that!!!". I was quickly enlightened by a team mate...

any one willing to make a vid clip of the sparks? im quite intrigued to see the cool sparks! and well, i really dont have enought money to get a new ti boomy right now.... saying i just got that scepter kit and all! so please, some one throw up a vid!

Also, will the longbox kits do this as well? and what causes the sparking? the bolt enering the barrel? the ball having microscopic dirt on it? what?

OOO Manike :) You need to make a video clip of the sparks coming out of the barrel. Also you better bring your ironman to the cup, along with that TI barrel. So I can see pretty sparks come out of your ironman. :D

My guess, and this is just a guess is that it's a static build-up as the ball travels down the battel. Since the sparks are out the tip of the barrel, I would hope that they are not caused by the bolt.
