Here is a pic of my second classic ... I think Im one of the few that chooses to only shoot a classic, for me the grip frame is perfect for the way I hold and shoot.

WAS Eye
WAS Switch
Black Dragon Trigger
Black Bob Long Torpedo
Shocktech Straight Micro-Drop

Heres a close up of the trigger, it is really an amazing trigger, once you get it set just right.

Also the specs on my timmy...

- All Stock :D

Only reason its stock, is because I plan on getting another, yes another black to blue dusted finish 2k2 after the summer. My new timmy will be the pimped one, which will include...

- 14in Dye Ultralight

- CP Rail Drop

- Black CP On/Off

- High Flow Barbs

- WAS Board

- Black Tribal Eye Covers

- PBK Derlin Bolt

- Extra Hard Detents

- Smoke Halo B With TE Software

- Black CP Ram Cap

- Wicked Switch or PBK switch, the PBK switch is 68% lighter then the stock ones.

Exactly. But you see, the shocktech ASA's are not meant for my rail, so thats the only way I could place the ASA. I am getting a CP on/off and a conquest rail on monday for a friend, it will be much better, I will get updated pics then.

Heres what my gun looked liked before the rail...

lopxtc,
did you gut the HP reg or are you running three plus the tank on that?
I only ask because I run my LP crossfire through a gas thru and it works like a charm.

very soon brak, you will be converted too

Oh the HP reg is gutted ... I was a little unsure about the torpedo at first, Im used to forking over close to $100 for a good LP reg and not just $45.00 ... but I was amazed and how well it really did work.

Yes, I did cut it with PVC cutters, they worked like a charm.

Was it hard to hack it down with the PVC cutters? And how much do PVC cutters cost (if you know)? I'm prolly going to be getting an Evo II so I'm prolly going to hack it down some. Thanks for the help.

Sounds like a great gun u got there lopxtc. Like everything except the purple. (Sorry, just really hate purple)

I am the same way, I love the classic grip frame. The others are nice and all, but just something about it that is really comfortable.

I have a Blue to blue Classic with a blue halo and I just love it.

Most timmy users use evo 2's because they are cheaper then halo B's, they dont have to be sanded, they only have to have the feed tube cut down.

Same. My evo came with my gun. Also I had a halo B, sold it for 115, to tell you the truth, I only sold it because I was to lazy to sand it. :)

Ditto. The shocktech's are the lightest timmy out. They are one hell of a fast gun, you have the shocktech name behind them. Also robert, that wasent fast mikes, that was Todd Martinez's, mike was only using it till he got all his shocktech gear.

I got the GZ frame with the gun. They dont come stock with the 2k2, some people just prefer the GZ frame, but I personally hate it. I cant set my dwell, or my debounce, or my trigger setting, without taking apart the entire frame. I would get a 2k2, because its much easier to do stuff with a 2k2 with clamshell.

Setting are already basically done. But alot of people re-set the dip switches and then they play with the de bounce and everything. You can customize your board pretty much to anything you want. Only thing you would want to do, if you get a timmy, is replace the stock cupseal wih a black magic cupseal, the stock ones are always a problem. Thats pretty much everything you will have to replace... Then you have all the upgrades, like WAS board, High Flow barbs, I would suggest getting them, so you dont have any shootdown, with long strings. Then if you plan on running a halo B on your timmy, a slotted bolt, extra hard detents. But you do not have to get a slotted bolt, but your detents will break after about 2 months of use. (They are 2.00 bucks a piece) Well thats pretty much it, you can also get a different trigger if you want... or barrel, or anything you want. if you do plan on getting a timmy, you will be getting a great gun.

SlipknotX556
06-07-2003, 07:43 PM
Well I actually tried a string with my timmy, the talon hopper, well I got a string out, then the hopper was empty... :)

But I could actually get a string out.

Adding on to what Slipknot said, if you like the milling on the GZ's and that is why you are buying it, get a Z timmy. its a GZ timmy with a clamshell frame. Nicer gun (IMO because of frame) than the Gz but the same price.

PsychoBaller
06-08-2003, 04:06 AM
I've been searching all over PB Nation, PB Rewview and the AO Forums for a cheap GZ Timmy for like $600ish. I dislike all the other frames other than the simplistic GZ 45* Frame (dont like the flame panels and such, or clamshell frame).

But you still do not get an LCD frame.

lopxtc

The LCD frame isnt really needed ... while it is easier to make changed through the menu system all that can also be done through the trigger or dip-switched on non-lcd timmys.

I will help you try to find one, but heres what you might want to do, post a thread on PBN asking for a GZ, saying that you only have 600 dollars to spend. It worked for me, I posted I wanted a 2k2, I only had 750, look what I got.

Might I suggest doing is, try saving up another 100 bucks, GZ's are not going to be made anymore, so the price will go up. Also I also have seen GZ's go for 600 but, thats not just going to happen anymore unless you find someone who REALLY wants to sell his GZ. Just try and get 100 more, then finding one wont be a problem. :)

Shocktech Bodies are nice...

The main think I hate about most Timmy models, are the flame panels and stuff.... GZ Frame is just nice and simplistic.

45* non-flame panel frame on that Shocktech Body would be hotter.
