How long is the wait for an X Mag?

Hey AO,
I'm comming into a good sum of money here soon, and I want to move on from my "Old Faithful" RT/Pro. I would like to get an X-Mag, but I want to know how long the waiting list is before I consider it. I mean, I know that they are some of the best out there, but I guess I'm a read turd; when I order it I want it NOW! Or at least soon.

Any info you could pass on would be good.

Well, If you order one, you will most certaintly not get it now. I'm sure the list is VERY long. do a search, there are lots of threads baout this.

The longest I have seen anyone post that they have been waiting is right about a year now! I had to wait about 2 weeks for mine, I bought it from the trading forum.

300 may not be a big back order, but at 50 a month it is still a 6 month wait.

I asked that very question today at the AGD booth at the NPPL Super7 Chicago... (this was after falling in love with X-mags from holding the Purple one on display.... Too bad it was purple and the minor detail of me being completely broke)

The answer I recieved was that if you ordered one today, it would be OCTOBER at the probable earliest.... I would assume longer if you wanted a specific paintjob done on it....

if demonguy is right than 5 months is a lot better than i thought which makes me happy means mine should come up in mid to late July i was guessing around 8 months

Well all I can tell you is it HAS BEEN 7-8 months so far. And speculation is just that....Speculation... and it matters not what "Paint Job" you want. They are all sent out AFTER you come up for one and tell them what Anno you want. Makes no difference in when you come up in the list.

If it speeds up then so be it. If it doesn't then there ya go. If more people preorder than are being filled it will lengthen. All that is speculative. It has been running 7 months. At this point it still is.

I ordered my X-mag about three weeks ago. I was told the wait will be around four to six months by by one of the AGD Office Ladies =)

300 backorders, but 3 times that amount decided not to get on the list because they don't want to wait ;)
