this is kind of an odd question, but does every computer (PC) out there come with a default program for playing movies (.MPG files)?

Yes. For the PC, it would be the Windows MediaPlayer. I'm not sure about the Mac.

when u install Windows its Windows Media Player by default however you can change it.
