I was just wondering but does anyone wear camo anymore? If you post please say why or why you don't wear camo.

I have a long-sleeve Woodland camo shirt I sometimes wear. It's a pretty warm shirt, so when Fall comes around it gets more use. I usually just wear a green Nike t-shirt and black zip-knee pants.

I have JT pants and an SP jersey, but I also occasionally use NATO issue camo BDUs when I play big games.

I wear a pair of BDUs in the winter cause they are roomy and inexpensive.I play mostly woodsball in the winter anyway.
In the summer , during speedball season I wear shorts , a t-shirt , and some knee pads.
But I always wear something with camo. Its my "Mo-Jo" lololol

Sometimes I'll wear BDU pants, just cuz they're the toughest, most rugged pants I own. I wore a BDU jacket like my first time playing, but not anymore.

i wear cammo playing woodsball, that kinda makes sense. But for now i wear cammo pants playing speedball with my jersey, Only because i dont have any money at all, and when i do, its not going towords pants quite yet.

Class C's minus the jacket and boots. Shirt untucked.

I always wear camo because it gives me a distinct advantage playing outlaw ball in the woods. Its usually pretty amusing when we get a speedball player that shows up in bright red or yellow. Then comments later on how the camo players just disapear in the underbrush.

BDU pants and a black or grey T-shirt, it is usually too hot to wear the BDU top. BDU's are the best, rugged clothing you can have. They hold up far better than any paintball clothing line and cost far less too!

2 reasons:

1. They are reasonably priced multipurpose clothes that I am willing to get dirty and rip.

2. They bug paintball snobs.

I use to back in the day, and even then I hated it because it makes stupid people think Paintball is a make believe war game.

"Oh I did paintballs once!! yah yah I rode in a real army jeep and was a sniper in the trees!"

The field I work at gave all the refs camo to work in. So why not use them when I play.

I wear camo pants with a tshirt in the woods

I have camo pants, mostly because they were:

1) cheaper than paintball pants
2) have lots of pockets
3) have reinforced knees for sliding

Have green Raven pants that I got on closeout for $20. Those things are really comfortable so I'm glad I bought them. I do wear a real tree T-shirt. My buddies call it the eastern oregon redneck look :D

Only after I called their NATO Camo outfit the sissy look;)

I'm looking for a new set of camos right now. I can't find any paintball store that sells Realtree camo anymore. Anyone know where I can buy these??

Look online for sporting goods and army surplus stores. They usually have real tree stuff (that is how I got mine).

For scenario games, I wear my full BDU outfit. For speedball, I wear my BDU pants and my team jersey. The team jersey looks awesome with the BDU pants anyway.

No camo for me not even once. When I started playing I wore Korean War issue aussie pants. Nice solid greenish wool and an OD green t-shirt. Sadly the aussies have taken one to many washes and now look like waders.

Camo for Big Games and pure woodsball. The jerseys come out for practice and tourney play. So my answer was "sometimes"

Tyger
06-12-2003, 02:58 AM
I do!!! I can match camo to a specific need or environment. Old school! :)

And, yes, I still like my Tiger Stripes!

http://www.tyger.us/paintball/earstail/sams503.jpg

See? Even got the camo goggles goin on too!

I voted "sometimes" tho, becsue I'll wear the right gear for the right application. Including jereys on concept fields. I'm working on the "sup-Air camo" outfit tho...

I still do. I quit paintball in '96 when pretty much every tournament was still in the woods and only started playing again recently.....and although I've got nothing against jersey's and dye/jt/whatever pants, I'd rather spend the money on my marker and look unfashionable on the sup air fields :)

I wear cammo pants and a black sweatshirt. I may get a jersey this year though, but it will be black or green probably…. To go with my cammo pants. ;)

The vast majority of the ballers I see at Adventure Games wear cammo of some sort. I think it has to do with the environment we play in, and that cammo clothes is easy to get and holds up well. It does not however indicate the skill level of the player or their “mentality” about warfare. ;)

Hey there,

I am in the Air FOrce so any chance to get out of my BDU's is nice. SO I dont wear them, but the material is great, thick and strong. I do use a pair of black BDU's and my wife has a pair of Urbans. they just look cool.

heres a tip if your lookin for somethin new, I bought my black BDU's at Hot Topic at a mall in Reno, they were half off, on some clearance rack. Great quality though.

I used to play on the same team as the blokes who founded Renegade (Ivan and Tricky) - before they moved over to the US in the mid-90s.

We used to look very dapper in 'Brownleaf Realtree' and then later in 'Foxwood'. :D

I'll usually wear camo in woods fields and scenario games, mostly because my Renegade Mossy Oak is durable. I've got some BDU pants that I'll wear now and then, also because they're durable. It's all about the durability.

I wear camo bdu's with an OD green jersey for woods ball and black bdu's with a blue jersy for speed ball.

JAM
06-12-2003, 10:55 AM
well, camos got it's place and i can't argue with the value of BDUs, I have a couple pairs of black BDU pants that are awesome. as for full camos, I have to say no.. I just don't think it makes much if any difference in games and it does continue the "war game" attitude towards the game which i don't like.

I'm not saying neutral colors aren't a good idea- blacks, greys, browns

AlabamaMan
06-12-2003, 11:49 AM
I'll throw on a camo shirt when i go play in the woods. Not wearing my JT pants, now that would be a sin.

Back in the late 80's early 90's when I would play in the woods out in the middle of nowhere, I'd wear cammo. There was a need, you could actually hide and the games would sometimes last an hour or two. Now on todays average recball field I suppose your ok with dark colors, jerseys or what ever.

Strider

I know several of my tourney buddies who have camo for rec/big game days.

Myself, I've never owned any, so I don't. :) However, I do tend towards neutral or dark colored clothes for bush...

I go with the camo pants and typically a black long sleeve T in the summer, and during the winter I go with a black fleece pullover.

I've had the same pair of pants for 9 years now :) Though they're starting to die, guess I need to buy another pair.

I do wear cammo to scenarios when IknowI will be out in the woods and sometimes knowing when not to shoot is more important than when to shoot. For a rec day I still ear BDU's but black ones. They are the most durabe pants for yor money and a black Diablo T.

During hunting season you can find RealTree items for dirt cheap at Wal-Marts and Meijers, but until then you'll probably have to pay a premium for out-of-season clothes at the mega-stores like Dunhams (if they're even in stock).

I used to wear RealTree, got the pants, jacket, and 6+1 fanny pack to match. Only ever break it out though as a change of clothes for two-day scenario events. Been wearing black BDU's or JT Pro-zip pants and JT or 32 jerseys for the past several years. The guys I play rec-ball with and I realized long ago we were giving ourselves heat-stroke for no good reason wearing the depot BDUs. It's not as though you NEED camo when the effective range of the gun is only 150 feet! Besides, if there's enough underbrush to make camo valuable, it's probably too darn thick to fire a marker through anyhow.

The great big white JT logo on my chest isn't the target that gets hit ... it's the blimp hopper, the 68ci tank, or the bulky harness.

Camo for me......I play mostly woods ball and when we do some speed ball I just take my camo top off and play in a tee shirt.
Here is a pic of me with a pump.:D If I am still you will not see me! BDU's...aahhh... most comfortable and last for a very long time. Get the military issue if you want them to last.
