Timmi Clone...

I don't think this has been posted here yet, but I saw an ad today for a German (?) marker that looked extraordinarilly like a Timmi (a little more on the effeminite side, but the similarities are striking)

I thought it was funny that all the Timmy owners on PBN were talking about how fugly the marker is when it looks almost identical to a regular Timmy (except for the wierd wave design thing)

Yea, it was quite ironic that the Timmy owners at PBN were saying it's fugly. It looks almost exactly like the new Timmy's. Just a little wave-ish. hehe.

The worst part is they first spelled "ajustable" and then later spelled it correctly!

Even if your conversion is correct, Cryer, I'm sure Imtimidators are incredibly expensive when purchased in Germany. This probably is a bargain over there.

probably not... BobLong might have actually liscenced it (as you mentioned). After all, I've seen reverse angle trigger frames for numerous guns, and AGD owns the patent for that. Also, how many Spyder or Cocker clones are there and nobody's been sued for those...

Trust me, this is not Bob's fight. It is National's (Gino). If this is the marker I heard about,(it may not be) somebody is going to get a bad bloody nose out of this deal. And with the juice Gino has, you can bet it wont be his nose dripping the blood:D

it all depends upon several things. One is patent. Is there any patent on the workings of timmy. If not, I don't think bob long or anybody can do anything to stop it. If the defence is copyright, it is even harder to defend.

Anyway, if this thing sells exclusively in europe, it is even harder fight.. They also could have some form of licensing agreement. either way, I think it is really cheap looking, just like timmy. ;) Too much elaborate milling do make it look like old cast children's toy. I much prefer simple solid style. (can live with ripper milling, but that is the extent)

There's nothign to patent. If anyone has the rights to production, it's WDP.

I just see the timmy market dropping out. These guys are going to drop their price and force bob to drop his prices.

Keep in mind that the target market for this is germany, and this gun undercuts the timmys by $400 euros in germany! so you save some 30%
