Hey, I was wondering if grease whip hose fits into the standard 90* macroline fittings? If anyone knows, it'd be a great help! :)

Edit: Oops, wrong forum. Thought I put it in the Tech Support. Sorry.

this is from another thread on a different forum posted by someone else :)http://www.fittingsandadapters.com/greaswhiphos1.html

It is rated at 3000 PSI with a burst pressure of 12000. Not to mention its more flexible and rubbercoated

You think that would be safe? cuz it looks really cool

Yea, it seems like it should work. But what kind of connectors should I use? Would it just fit into the normal macroline fittings, or would I have to get some special kind of fitting?

It looks like you'd just need some elbows for steel hose

SS hose scratches the gun. I like grease whip hose myself.

I had a grease whip spring a leak on me one time. The outside part blew up like a balloon. It was scary. It didn't blow but i threw it away anyways.

I haven't had any problems with the new one yet.

sounds like it was defective
i've never heard of grease gun hose bursting like that
but i've seen marcoline and fittings go
they're only rated at about 800psi i believe
greasegun line is way better IMO
and it doesn't keep a "memory" like ss braided does

There is a reason it says "For Grease Gun ONLY" all along the hose..

Yeah, did ya have fun?! I had a ball when I turned on my tank and my grease hose started to balloon and then pop like one.

I don't dig the "oh it leaks all the time, just yank on it back and forth until it stops" on Macro lines.. and grease gun hoses should be used on grease guns..

Heres what I did: http://home.pacbell.net/zoraks/emag3.jpg

Steel braided hose and I used shrink tube that I picked up for like $2 and covered the entire hose. Looks nice, doesn't scratch my E-Mag and it's stee braid.

try lowes or home depot for the shrink tube

I ordered it off the net. Cost more to ship it, lol

I forgot where I got mine, but LOTS of places have it, you can buy it by the foot, I got two feet just in case.

As an alternative to a grease whip I'm running a couple of markers with swaged hydraulic line. This stuff is 'Synflex', has a working pressure of 2500 psi and a burst of 10,000 psi.

It is batch tested and, unlike grease whips has to pass things like -
'5.9 Impulse Test:
Hose assemblies, when tested at 125% of working pressure, with 212°F (100°C) circulating Texaco Regal R&O 46 test fluid, shall withstand a minimum of 150,000 impulse cycles without indication of leakage or failure. The assemblies are to be tested according to the latest issue of SAE J343.'

So far I have never had a problem with it.

PS That is an old school MicroMag with the fixed barrel & no for-grip.

Hey Jon!

the E-Mag has changed a bit since that pic, but I think you shot it in it's current state, with the ULE body and Ultralight. I heard Cory was getting an X-Valve soon, did he get it yet?

With the ULE trigger that due out.. that will be one awesome setup.

As always I threw my back out playing paintball, so I'll see ya at Valley Thunder in a few weeks, I tried to play every weekend but.. I need to get in better shape first, lol
