View Full Version : What is a rail bushing? :)

I bought my RT Pro on ebay over a year ago and with the minor operator error of not putting enough lube on the LX one weekend, I haven't had a problem with it. Now, I'm in the middle of a trade (looks like I'm getting a Z-grip, finally!!!) and am finding out that I might not have a rail bushing. I know what they look like, but I can't find one on my RTP anywhere. The closest thing to it in appearance is the Twist Lock Assembly.

The AGD store says it fits between the grip frame and the rail at the field strip screw. My question is, how will the rail bushing work with the Z-grip? Is it even necessary? I've been running my RTP for over a year without one.

Thanks,
Charles

Huh? I don't get that first part.

Anyhow, he knows what a rail bushing is, but he says he's been playing without one, and now that he may be switching to a Z-grip, would he need to get a rail bushing. If I were you, I'd go ahead and buy one, just to be on the safe side.

When I'm wearing my boxing gloves, I type with a stick between my teeth, then hunt and peck.

I suppose I should've used something to the effect of "Rail bushing and Z-grip, can anyone tell me anything about the combo?"

Thanks Grasshopper for the info. Looks like I'm making a trip to the AGD store.
