Go to a swimming pool and go underwater, scream as loud as you can, curse, tell your thoughts... its cool

I dont know if that sort of thing helps or not though

I'd always just go out back (i have 55 acres) and just hack at cactus for an hour or 2 with a samurai sword. That might not be possible for you as you may not have cactus in your back yard.

Push ups. When I get truly angry, my musles get tight and energised. I wear myself out.

Mild depression or fear I deal with by watching Lilo & Stitch. :D

...or a samurai sword for that matter.

Generally any strenuous physical activity seems to work, violent or otherwise.

Well, I'd have to use an axe and a tree. No cactus, no sword. Of course living in the suburbs, someone would probably call the police if I tried to cut down a tree on their lawn.

Just say "Serenity Now!" everytime you want to relieve yourself of stress. :)

Or if you don't want that anger bottling up inside, say "Hoochie Momma!" :)

Running and working out is crucial, man. In addition to making you too tired to be angry anymore, it also releases endorphines, the feel-chemicals that drugs force your body to dump into your bloodstream.

it would be so cool to have a samurai sword untill i cut one of my arms off.

Whenever I am angry, sad, lonely, missing someone(like now:( :( :( ), I find that doing something productive works. I usually just go out in the garage and work for my dad or something. If I am really angry, I find that splitting logs with a 12 lb axe cures me. I usually swear while I am doing it too.

Jogging/running works too.

beer, that cures everything ;)

Hacking down trees with an axe also works pretty well, as someone already mentioned. Or shooting things.

I'm going to assume it isn't a real Katana, because, if it is, you're insane, using a 500 year old relic..

I play football, lift weights and wrestle. I have the worst anger problems you'll ever hear of, and if I didn't then I'd probably be dead.

I'm always too tired to be angry now.

music usually does the trick for me.

i throw on some tool or deftones.. usually calms my mild anger.

anything other than that, ill listen to dimmu borgir, opeth, in flames, cradle of filth, dry kill logic, pantera.. anything along those lines.

or, the old standby.. go to sleep. you may forget why you were pissed in the first place after you wake up ;)

I've heard that trying to "release" your anger just makes things worse. You're not goint to freak out if you don't, either.

Just learn to cope with it internally. Mental control.

Using swords is fun... :D

But it's hard to really get rid of anger in a true sense... Doing all those things can vent anger to reduce it, but it doesn't really get rid of it.

In the short term smashing things I know one freind who keeps plates just for throwing

Bashing pilows against the wall works, too pillow fights are better!

Physical exersice running weights weights are great I was way so much more chilled when got to got throw weights around.

Hitting brick walls works but i don't recomend it:o and it cracks the plaster Ditto kicking stuff unless its not a hard object.

Really though you must adress the underlying reasons, work out whats pissing you off and what you can do about it you may find you have more choices than you think and it will ultimatly make you happier. :D

take a stick (or other hard wooden object).. and smack it against the ground really really hard till it breaks... when it does, you'll hear that crack.. and feel that.... feel, and everything will be all better :D

Find a secluded spot and curse up a storm.

theres lots of ways.

run. Just run, like forrest gump. Dont think about anything. By the time you cant run any more, you will probably not be too mad anymore. So walk home.

or lift weights or do pushups, or something like that, untill you cant anymore.

the less manly way is go somewhere private and throw a cursing fit, then eventually just collapse and cry.

I go running or workout at the gym and lift. Sometimes I go target shooting at the range (with real firearms).

thats another good release for me too, driving. i'll wind up dead one day as a result of going speeds like that and driving on the edge of my seat but atleast I'll go out doing something that I enjoy thoroughly.

Ride a motorcycle if you have access to one. I have a dirtbike, and I sometimes just ride around behind my house (though it is private property).

I found today that washing my car and then waxing it works. I become so concentrated on washing it and getting my waxing and polishing done right that I forget whats going on.

...On second thought that actually might not work that well.

Listening to music usually calms me down (AFI, Thrice, Thursday, some others). If that doesn't work, there's always flaming to be done on PBN.

Hey micro, i know what the song is about. he was asked to right a song for the movie RUSH and it had to be about a loss of some sort so he wrote the song about the recent loss of his 4 year old son I know the power that it has over the emotions. It usualy calms anyone down. or brings them to tears
