Anyone here ever played in the rain with a mag? I have played in the rain before, just not with my mag. Is there any precautions i should take before or after the game(cleaning, ect.)?

I've played in the rain with my mag before and it's nothin a dry towel can't clean. Although, I oiled up my gun afterwards just in case it was washed out with the rain water.

If you can dunk your Mag in water without screwing it up, you can play in the rain without screwing it up. When I play in the rain I put a piece of duct tape over the hole in the powerfeed so the balls don't get wet.

I tape off the portings in my barrel in the rain (and oddly it has little effect.. what good is porting?), other than that it just gets a more thorough cleaning when I get home

definatly tape all porting on your barrel(recrono also)
and if you have a powerfeed put something over the hole.

I play in the rain with my timmy, the thing is still kicking.

Here in South Florida, rain is a daily thing, only once in awhile do you not get rain while playing. But I love it when its all muddy out, sliding everywhere, good stuff. :)

That's impressive, I always heard people whining about how electros should never be played with in the rain.

what is the use of taping up porting, my barrels shoot fine in the rain with the porting not taped; gogs getting wet sucks tho

your gung will be fine, just keep your paint dry. you will prob need a new set of goggles when the day is over. my Emag did fine in the rain, it was in the rain at EMR for castle conquest.

yeah, just got home from the field. I probably should have taped the powerfeed or something because my paint was flying everywhere. The LVL 10(first time i've played with it) was awsome. the worst thing about the rain is I couldn't see anything, even with thermal goggles.

Make sure you always wear your visor in the rain also.

NE AO III was played in a downpour, mags, emags, my X-mag, all worked flawlessly.

The visor on my mask didn't really help all that much.

I thought emags were bad with water

Splatt magazine had a piece about playing in the rain.

In the middle of one of the games I thought it would be good to put Rain-X (the stuff for car windsheilds) on the lense of my mask. It works good on cars, why not for paintball???

The chemicals in Rain-X will eat your lenses, weakening them. You should not use it on the lenses. Now the inside of your barrel is another story. :)

The Dalton MSPA was freaking downpour not problems with the E, other than one game that was EXTREMELY ridiculous I had to switch over to manual. Other than that no problems at all.

I covered my ir3 up at the last GPL event with Diablo paintball bags...i knew those things would come in handy. They wouldnt let me play with them on though :(

Rain, snow, sleet, it was supposed to hail a month ago, but it didnt. I was at my field though. Played in all of them with my mag, and cocker.

I played in the rain with my E-Mag back in the day...now would have no problem playing with the X-Mag.

the boards are silicone coated, if i remember right and so rain wont hurt it....just dont go droping it in the lake
