I just ordered an omega rail and I was wondering if anyone has taken the time to weigh one of these. I did a search and didn't find any numbers. I have heard that they are lighter than a classic rail, but nobody seems to have documented this.
they are lighter, don't know how much lighter but definitely lighter. They are hollowed out but you probably already knew that ;)

I have had mine for about a month now. Still in the box but it you can feel its lightness:confused: . the inner portion of the rail has the piss milled out of it, very simliar to a ULE rail.
If I get a digital scale that reads in grams I will be more than happy to weigh it for you.
jb
EDIT: Its Al not SS
