The local burger king is hiring. I need a job so I think I'll stop in.

I need some help though, I don't know what to do. Do I walk in and ask for an application or something? What should I say? I don't wanna look like a jack-arse.

Sweet

Yes, you walk right in and tell any of the employees that you would like an application. They will get you one. http://www.automags.org/ubb/smile.gif

You have to demand and application. If they don't give it to you, you have to clock the manager right in his jaw.

Just got a job at the local McDonalds. I run the grill. It actually isn't bad at all, not nearly as bad as I was expecting. Much better than my last job so far (grocery checker.)

Just walk right in, step up to the counter (wait your turn if there's a line) and ask for an application. Go home, and if you have a typewriter, use it to fill in the application. Before you do, practice with some lined notebook paper to make sure you can get it to type where you need it to.
If you have good handwriting (unlike me,) go ahead and fill in EVERYTHING. Don't skip any of the questions, and read the whole thing before you even start to fill it out. Print for the whole thing, except for the signature. Turn it back in the next day (don't get it and wait a week to turn it in, they'll have hired someone else.)

If they call you for an intervew, show up at least 5 minutes early, but no more that 10 minutes early. Show up wearing some Dockers type pants and a nice shirt, both ironed. Answer all the interviewer's questions completely and honestly. Be confident, not sheepish.

Good luck.

Josh

Dude...if you're gonna work in a restaraunt, go work at Hooters! A cook maybe. Don't think you'd look good in tight orange shorts and a tight t-shirt. C'mon...you're a young lad...I'd think working there would appeal to you. http://www.automags.org/ubb/wink.gif

Of course, they might require that you be 21 since they serve booze...doh.
