Well yeah, obviously you can wear a cup... But is there anything else that is more comfortable?

I never found the cup uncomfortable, especially when playing paintball, never gets in the way.
Just get a good one that is the right size

get a soft cup, they are a cup made of rubber, and are extremely flexible etc... they are in the same form as a hard cup but are good, and will promote bouncing, or getr dye slider shorts

my blue jean zipper!
i've been shot in the nuts once and they all broke on the zipper... the ref actually had to call me out cause i didnt know that i was shot... i've had enough skating falls on my nuts, so i assume they can take a 260fps beating ;)

i just hang a towel in my pants, it seems to work. just half inside and half outside. it isnt uncomfortable and you can use it to clean crap when it gets shot.
I just wear an extra layer of boxers.

definatly a regular cup. Ive never had a problem with it being uncomfortable. I wear a pair of baseball sliding shorts under the cup to prevent chafing, and to pad my ***.

nothing, i wear baggy pants and they catch the balls and they bounce too :D
on the other hand i've never had a direct nutter but i was on my knees shooting around a tree once at a scenario game and i felt a ball fly between my legs missing my jewels by like 2" it was scary as hell

i just wear very baggy(sp?) pants. i have already been shot by the nuts about 3 times and they all bounced because of my baggy pants, the paintballs didn't even touch them (u no what i am talking about).

i have taken a direct shot to the nuts before, like the guy in the video, 300 fps... it hurts like a mother ****er... i thought just recently breaking my leg in sevral places i would be able to "handle" the pain. ill tell you i just crumpled up against the bunker and stayed there for a good 5 mins.... till i could breath again... its not a pain you can ignore... but it does go away... my balls were ok, once the swelling went down... jk :P

Raven slider shorts... half the price of Dye, and the foam cup is actually cup-shaped. It's great when you pull it out of the shorts after a hot day playing, and throw it at the air trailer girls. With Dye's foam chunk, they don't immediately recognize it, unless you pull it out right in front of them. :D --Dave

after being shot in the nuts I bought myself some Dye Slider shorts(they come with like a piece of cardboard for protection, but I took that out and put in a cup).

well last year i was playing a tourny ... a 3 man.
and it was late in the game, and it was me against there last man at the fifty. and i saw him slid in at an L and i made the sprint to bunker him. i popped him with two balls ... THE PUNK bonused balled me right in the jewels from 4 feet away. i crumbled to the floor and gasped for air , and cried tearfully for ice. i couldnt play the rest of the tourny.
but i still have found somthing that makes me feel comfortable when i wear it.
i also dont want to drop down 50 for a pair fo shorts. but i am sure that my opinion mya change next time i take one in the lower regions

Wow. I didn't realize that other people were so careless with their equipment, as it were. A Bike soft cup was the first thing I ever purchased specifically for paintball, eight years and several thousand dollars worth of gear ago. In that time, I've taken a dozen or so hits there, and have never felt a thing. It's extremely comfortable; it doesn't inhibit my movement at all--indeed, the only time I'm aware of it is when I'm in the bathroom.
Also, I did a bit of testing with the foam pad that comes with the Dye shorts awhile back. I put an egg in the crotch behind the pad, pinned the shorts up on some cork board, took a shot at it from 20 or so feet away, and observed the results. I decided to stick with the Bike soft cup.

Raven slider shorts. They do the job, and the cup is plenty comfortable. As stated earlier, they are also fairly inexpensive compared to other similar products.
