I have a xr100 trail bike, yamaha banshee, and yamaha kodiak. My dad bought two quads for hunting and I picked a banshee HeHe. THe trail bike i bought for 25 bucks in pieces and painted it, put the engine back together, changed the gaskets, got a new exaust, and changed all the plastic, put some new graphics on it and it looks dope. Its fairly new, also, only a 95 dont know what the previous owner did to it.

I ride three wheelers. Dirt bikes for people that are crazy and like the injuries. Four wheelers are for old farts that can't handle anything. 3 wheelers are for the most skilled drivers http://www.automags.org/ubb/smile.gif

Plus a stock ATC 250R will beat any stock 4 wheeler made right now. Not too bad for something using 15 year old technology.

I had a yamaha mini wheeler when I was like five, no idea what it was exactley (blurey memorys, the plastic was made to look like a little monster truck.) Then I had a 87 TW200 for around 2 years before trading for the
YZ-125 I have now. I'm lucky enugh to have about 8 gravel pits and two MX tracks within riding distance of my house, and I'm practacing at least an hour evrey day, I'll be racing some novice MX this september. I've cut back on paintball alot to pay for parts, gas and equipment, and im spendin' more sundays at the track than the feild now a days.

ok...4-wheeleres are for people with no balance, thats why i like them. j/k.
i dont have a quad, but if i was to get one, i would want a suzuki quadracer Lt 500.
that is some mad power stuffed into a quad. 500 CC's of 2 stroke hell. plus, you HAVE TO HAVE UPGRADES! running stock just ain't as much fun.

Unqualified and poorly thought out comments only make people look silly. http://www.automags.org/ubb/wink.gif I think people know what I am talking about.

When it comes down to it, doesn't it all come down to your NEEDS, and what you are using it for?

I know many hunters that use quads and love them. You can carry more equipment, have added stability, etc. And dirt bikes give you some extra speed and maneuverability, but a loss of storage and stability. BOTH are fantastic, but should really not be compared head to head. And basically, if it gets the job done and gets you OUT there... THAT is what matters. http://www.automags.org/ubb/smile.gif

It is like the argument of which type of snowmobile is better, a racing machine or a trail machine? Both are great... but what do you want to DO with it?

I have been thinking of getting a couple quads for me and my son (when I have some free time to enjoy them). And since I like to do some minor logging, outdoor chores, AND would like to get out and do some trail riding/camping... the quads just offer more for MY particular needs. I drool every time I go past a dealership with about 50 of them sitting out front. LOL My Wife just pats my hand and smiles at me. http://www.automags.org/ubb/smile.gif
