While using DIVX, with the skate videos I used to watch, taking screen shots was a pain. I couldnt get it to worked, then I tried one more time and when I wanted the right part in the movie, I would pause the movie and take the picture, then I took it to Paint Shop Pro 7, they would appear with no problems.

i forget exactly why, but i think printscreen doesnt work because any video you play is processed through your video card's gpu, and when you hit printscreen it just captures what is being sent through the main cpu. i cant remember any programs that are specifically for it but one that works is tmpgenc. just load the divx file, go to settings, go to the advanced tab, and double click source range. just go to the part you want a screencap of then use printscreen.

Use BSplayer (http://www.bsplayer.org). Pause it, right click, capture>Screen shot(Visable)

OR
Disable hardware acceleration in windows media. That should work.
