Valve stars- when did they start?

Quick question: when did AGD start using the valve star warranty repair system? Anyone know the exact date or serial number? I searched for it, but all I found was reposts of the warranty information, not real dates or cut-off serial numbers. TIA.

Taking a wild guess they probably started with 000001 as the first serial number

No, CF00001 is a pre-star valve, and mine has one star and it's numbered CF58***.

My SmartMag/Minimag valve has no stars and its SM010**.

This leads me to believe that Minimag MM00001 is pre-star.

Anyone know at least the year the star program started?

Just a follow-up question, yurchikcs, why are you afraid of posting your serial numbers?

this is just a wild wild guess, but i wanna say they started the star valve program in like 98,i think, maybe 97, i know i had just really gotten into the sport when the star program started, but im luckey if i can remember what i ate for breakfast sometimes. well i hope this helps

Same reason I don't post rifle serial numbers, car VIN numbers, my social, etc. It's a privacy thing, I don't need other people claiming my stuff as their "stolen" or "lost" property.:D

EDIT: So far, the highest pre-star serial numbers I have found are:

Classic: CF36181
Minimag: MM14144
