Hey guys, well after some quick thinking, I took 1, thats right 1 regular 12v battery, put it on the connecting part on my halo b wire. and turned it on.... result's

Same speed, Same Performance, 1/2 the weight!

this runs on 1 12v, instead of 2, like in revvys, so it has them beat there, how come no one else ever noticed this...???

Don't you mean one 9 volt battery? Besides, they say the AA's have better initial motor acceleration than a "9v" battery. That's why they come with a AA battery holder. I think the instructions for the Halo B state that you can use a 9v, but like I said, slower initial acceleration.

and it didn't turn out too well. The single 9V's just don't provide enough current to keep things going, at least not in the two HALOs I have.

I run mine off of 8 NiMH AA rechargables - 10.6 volts off a fresh charge, but generally around 9.6.

Uhh... no, we don't. A 12v battery is a CAR battery. A 9v battery is, well... a little 9v battery. If you wanna power your HALO with a car battery, be my guest!

In Canada, we call 9v batteries "9 volt" batteries.

Ok before this thread got uber crappy, Could you use really fancy pants recharagable 9 volts(12's for you canadians), and have the same power output as AA's?

Gettin back to the mission...

Called Odyssey about repairs for the motor (Don't use black or half black shelled paint, trust me) and asked about this cuz no one likes a top heavy marker. You need two 9V wired in parallel to meet the amperage requirements to run the Halo properly (even with the Te software). He suggested the energizer lithium batteries to save weight. You do need to stop by Radio Shack and pick up some stuff and break out the sodomy iron, but I did it and it makes a difference with the snap shooting.
