Hey everyone, well, it's fri, I'm bored at work and decided to revisit this topic... I was thinking of an XMag-type one piece body, but with easier/cheaper milling, no eye and no removable breach. The ULE bod is a nice retro fit, but AGD should do something a little more visually pleasing. my thought for today:

That looks awsome, i hope agd really looks into that, that would be even bette4r if it goes into production.

that would be even better with the milled battery pack ;)

it looks as though the rail and body are one in the same, but what about the sear, i dont know much about emags, but on my gun you need to take off the rail in order to get the sear out

Thats cool, but the lines kinda throw you off, all the litttle kids with cockers would think its just a PTP.

Waht ever happened to the other 2k4 emag??? omg that looked better than xmag IMO

The only problem I can see with the body is that you'd have to mill a slot for the sear. I dunno how milling machines work, but it would seem rather difficult when you look at how a slot is cut in the rail especially if it's one piece.

On the other hand, it looks really nice. I'd buy one if I had a job. =P

JAM, personally, I would love to see modular breeches for it.

And with a unibody rail/body combo, you can easily throw on an ACE board.

I think it would be a great idea. Clean easy milling without the removable breach and no ACE would really keep the cost down.

hmm, thoughts...

well, I think that if you add interchangeable breeches, it would be getting into XMag territory. same with the ACE.

When I had my XMag, I only used a HALO, so I didn't need to switch up the breeches, I suspect most people use one or the other, but don't frequently switch between them.

I think ACE is not necessary, so it would save a few bucks on manufacture.

For everyone that wonders about the sear, it it held in place by a screw-in pin through the body- just like the XMag.

just screwing around,
j

I think I like the first oen better, but it might just be because of the color... Although it does look alot liek something PTP would do.

And I think the no-ACE and non-interchangable breeches is a good idea. I see no real need for ace with LX, kinda overkill IMO.

If AGD made new emags with a one piece body instead of a body and rail, I think they would sell a lot more.

I've seen many people turned off by emags just because the body and rail are two separate pieces. I know it made me wanna go to PTP, just so there is no hassle. :)

I say that a once piece body would be good too... making it look different from an xmag and ptp body is the issue.

I've always liked the Micro. I just wish they would use a standard ball detent. I've heard about too many problems with theirs.

thats ab-so-lutly fawking awesome i think it looks much better than the PTP, got a little more artistic touch righ on man

Note to Tom
this is good stuff. dont know if its at all feasable but it would be great if agd started producing these as drop ins for all its markers like an expanded ULE

Good question, I miss ol' Jammo :(

that looks a ton better than the ptp body. It's like a plainer ptp with horizantal milling instead of vertical.

i once had the idea to just try and get my micro body milled like an xmag, but didnt feel like getting into the trouble of PAYING for it. but now that i have a ule, its all good. oh, and to stay on topic, JAM, i have to say that you are very good at desining emags, just wouldnt you think that there could be just a little more milling, to maybe make it just as light, if not lighter, than an ule body and ule rail combo?

those bodies are sweet.. with the realease of those tho wouldent the sales in x-mags drops since you can make any emag into an x mag essentially?

Argh... attachments are still messed up (they work for joo, but they don't work for me).

I like the old blue/black one. I was trying to attach the picture of it..
