I know it sounds like i'm nagging, i'm just wondering on how production is going and it seems like the ules have been in stock lately. So i was just wonderin on when the trade in could possibly happen for the old RTs? And what would be involved or is this not a fesable thing to do in the near future?? just wondering.

no, tom mentioned in a post about a new trade in they're planning. basically, you send in your classic RT valve (and body? maybe?) and cash, and they send you a ULE body and xvalve. apparently they made some spacers allow you to use standard components.

Couple of weekends ago, I mounted my RT Intelliframe on a standard mag with no problems.

I'd really like to know what this would entail.

What parts would I send?

What parts would I get?

How much is this going to cost?

Tom, thanks for your interest in bringing us old school RT owners back into the fold.

I agree with The Deacon on the particulars.

Dude thats the best thing ive heard in a while, any chance i could get a warped ULE body? Now only if you could make the y-grip fit on there i would be finished with my masterpiece =)

this is for old school rt's, you would send in your body and valve and some kinda money, they would send you an xvalve and ule body, but since the rt rail and frames are bigger you need to put a bushing around the normal field strip screw so the valve doesnt move around. correct me if im wrong.

That would be groovy if I could trade in my frame, body, and valve in all at once from my "old school" RT pro.

i believe the last thing tom said was that he would let us know when it was available. i would assume by the lack of response that it isnt available yet. he seems to be a man of his word. when they are available, im sure there will be a big fat classic post up at the top of the forum...

It actually almost makes it worth saving that old RT in the closet for 5 years. For anyone who knows anything about serial #'s... would #RT01541 be considered classic?

RT's (not RT Pro) all have the banjo bolts and a different rail system. They call these "classic" now.

You cannot put a regular RT value in these.
