Okay, heres my list of best/worst for the day:

Best move by a player: Carbon bunkering 5 of us at one time, including me.

Worst move by player: Me slipping on the paint by a bunker, flying up in the air, landing on my back, and having my mask fly off.

Best personal move: Getting 5 players out in one game.

Worst personal mistake: Having problems with HALO, and during the repair putting 2 rounds in the back of the guy in front of me.

Favorite image: Z-man shooting 1200 rds per game at anything he could see. And sometimes, at stuff he couldn't see.

Best lesson learned: 4 100 rd pods ain't gonna cut it with the Viking.

A great time was had by all. It was a pleasure meeting all the Norcal folks. I'm looking forward to the next one.

everyone was nice, Ryan ( calls himself steel rat for some reason:confused: :D ) let me take his viking out to the chrono and dump some paint, Dan let me use his X-Mag at the chrono and was going to let me use his e-mag ALL DAY but it ddnt like my tank:( but he let me shoot his X so it was a great day anyways! thank you both of you. and Zach for giving me a bag of paint to share with chris. and chris for giving me a quarter while playing Area 51:p and Carbon for letting me use his gun when he was out and i ran out of air and everyone else probably did something to help me too, but i cant remember rite now.

Thats a broken level 10 powertube tip. It crapped out on him rather early in the day.

We all had our issues. My worst was the game where my gun wouldn't shoot at all. I tried everything I could think of, then just left the game. Turns out the Halo was jammed and the ACE, doing its job, wouldn't let me fire on an empty chamber. Live and learn.

I also enjoyed all the hissing mags. I'm standing at the starting bunker, and I hear all this hissing noise. It turns out its all the level 10s awaiting final setup. Sounded like I was in a snake pit.

highlight of the day: steeratt(steelrat.. whatever) letting me use his viking. i am buying a viking.

lowlight of the day: chris eliminating his own teammate by shooting me in my hopper(even though he said he didnt)

as fun as the paintball was, the area 51 was even funner. yes, i am gramatically incorrect.

and as my did pointed out, in every picture im in, i look like a big wuss.

i just wanted to point out that i really am a big wuss, and that i really suck at paintball.

to conclude this extremely annoying and picture ridden post, i just wanted to share some things i learned from todays semimegameet.

- accuracy is way more important than kills in area 51.

- level 10 is a good thing.

- and lastly, i learned just how much paint you can possibly shoot in a game.

It was sick being on z-mans tape it was alwase open for advancement sence he never stoped shooting each game.

HAAHAHA that was me practicing my River Dance as I moved to my tape line position. as soon as I read "jig" and saw that picture, I knew that I would never be able to look at it the same.

Now that I am FINALLY home for the night and all you normal people hit the sack, Ill construct my elaborate post. First the formal/serious part (yeah I can actually be serious... sorta)

I want to that all you guys who made this possible. Suffices to say that getting a group of people together who never met, have no phone numbers or address to work with and only this forum, is no small feat and I say it worked out great.

Second I want to say what a pleasure to play with you all it was. Not only did most of you shoot Mags ;) but you were honest, cordial, and extended your hospitality to me and each other (again you never met any of us!). I hope I can contribute more to this next time and I would go so far as to say that is was an honor to play with you all. I'll drive anywhere in CA if we do another get together to play with people of character.

3rd and last we stuck together through the day. I was really stoked to see how you all helped each other troubleshoot, prep, and play the game all day.

Again this was a wonderful experience for me and in my 7 years of playing it ranks right up there.

Now the typical Zak.

That day rocked and we are defiantly doing it again.

Believe it or not, I don't usually go through 1200+ rounds in a game (my other gun is actually.... ok its actually another RT). I had never actually had his happen before but about 80% through my 1200 rounds I couldn't pull the trigger very fast because it was all burning with lactic acid buildup (back to the weighs on the pointer finger..). What is worse was that I think I was being filmed so I had to play it off and try all the harder to keep up the cycling rate hehe.

Total shots fired: approx. 7,500 rounds

Total players hit: ....not your business

Carbon, that right side sweep was pro and you pulled it off sweet!

ABEC- Gotta love that Evolution and glad to have you teaming up with my in the bunker (feel much better when I got both sides covered.)

Mighty Mike- Never underestimate the power of the RT!

I would love to see the rest of the picts of the day tomorrow and if anyone took video footage that would be sweet too!

Link worked for me, Video looked good. Only problem was I don't think I saw a single mag user in that video. I saw myself and my viking for about a millisecond, but that was it. Great first effort though! Hopefully theres more footage out there, there were so many of you shooting footage it looked like paparazzi covering a celebrity wedding.

We came late and couldn't find the AO ppl for like the first hour. Not as much action video as I would've liked but it's ok. Next time (if i don't play) we go to the field i'm hopin to get better clips. Now i gotta learn more features of Adobe Premier, that **** is hard.

adobe's products tend to be twards mid or high skill levels. I love to use premire, and after effects, they dont have allot of junk like allot of the starter movie editing prog's do. If you are just starting to put together home movies then premire probubly isnt the best pic.

Oh, also tell him there is a right way and a wrong way to do it.

Wrong way: Carry crappy stuff, overcharge, put non-knowledgeable people staffing it, let the area get messy and disorganized

Right way: Carry decent-good stuff (The one in Stockton has angel speeds and e-blades, doesnt need to be that good, but it doesnt hurt), keep prices reasonable (a good "hook" helps, like cheap paintballs, keeps people coming in, and then they buy the other stuff, like me getting my Redz pack system today when buying paint DOAH!)Good staff (that would be, lets see here, ahhh, YOU) Keep it clean (Like Delta, minus the arrogant staff).

And he'd be a great sponsor for any team you may join/form.

Yea, what their going to try is paintballs and air fills (CO2 and hopefully compressed air :) ) As of now i'm the most knowledgable worker with paintball stuff. I'm the consultant for the paintball stuff. He said he would start with a 4 ft area of shelf and go from there.
The way ace gets most of their products is from Ace Corp. There is a section in the Ace Corp catalog that is paintball stuff. Its mainly crap, like brass eagle paint, v-loader paint, talons, sabers, jt excelletor (note* i can't spell). The only decent item that they carry is 12v revy w/ xboards. I'm going to campaign for him to order from an Independent vendor, just like the Stockton Ace. I'm going there tomorrow to check out their stock. Does anyone know where they get their paintball products? Independent vendor?

chris for HPA fills buy a fill station from xpaintball or somthing and just buy a couple of scuba tanks. you can get the scubas filled for like five bucks at a dive shop and you get roughly 10 fills from 1.

O_o theres an ACE hardware in Stockton that sells a nice selection of paintball equipment. And their paint is cheap, like $30 for big ball and $39 for pmi premium. Not too shabby. Most other places have like zap for $50 and stuff.

Now, about the WC ace, I guarantee if they get brass eagle stuff it will rot on the shelf. That is for people who don't know better, and they tend to be looking at sporting goods stores and Wal Mart. Get the "hook" and some decent low-mid quality stuff (Spyder, Tippman, etc.) Make the paint a break even thing to get em in the door, or a few bucks profit). Once they are there they are gonna wanna buy something else, so you can start adding stuff like barrels, goggles, etc.

Just my $.02, what the hell do I know about running a business ;)
