I don't know why but I find this pump better looking than my ULE mag.

I'm thinking about powdercoating the back half of the valve to match (aftermarket)

Oh, and thanks Lee! I'm in love with this gun

personally I like big n' slow's the best, simple yet elegant. Maybe I'm partial because of the black/chrome combo

thanks guys,

I'm thinking of redoing the powdercoat to flat black on the rail/body to match the rest of the parts. I'm also working on a dual 12oz setup for power.

I agree with this. I like all the others, but I really love the simple and clean design of B&S’s.

I would suggest however, instead of making the valve black to match the rest of the marker, you may want to consider a different color, such as yellow, blue, red, or green. And I would make these BRIGHT colors. It would create an affect not unlike engine dress up kits, or break calipers. I think the simple addition of one extra color would enhance the overall look.

Again… I love that marker. :)

shartley,

I'm not much into flashy colors, so it would have to be a dark color.

I have red, blue, yellow, green and white powders at the moment, so heres the two choices I think look decent.

Blue:

Green: ( I like this )

Yes, the green looks nice. Even a bit darker (or as dark as you could get it) would work great IMHO. I like it better than the blue.

(edit: How about VERY dark green valve.... but black trigger?)

Did someone say pump mag? :D :D ;)

http://www.automags.org/forums/attachment.php?s=&postid=907908

Hehe... most over engineered pump ever... Warp fed, LX'ed, VL2000, and an Auto-Response frame of all things! That is actually just a "mock up" of the gun, I sent the rail off to get pump slot milling so I haven't tested it all out yet...

I think the green also in the trigger takes away from the affect of JUST the valve being colored.

Everyone else, hey, no prob. :) Different looks and styles are what makes the world go round. I personally think Psycho Chicken's has an interesting looking body. What kind of body is that anyhow?

nice work big. brings a tear to me eye to see her with a new life.

you do your own powder coating? if so, maybe we can do some buisness in the future....

Lee,
Yeah, I do my own powdercoating and machining as a hobby. Mostly for my automotive obsession but it works fine for paintball. As for doing work for others, I'm afraid time constraints and quality of work would be a problem.

BTW, was the rail that you sent me powdercoated clear or silver?

Lee
07-22-2003, 10:13 AM
cool, no problem. your work looks great though.

it was a polished rail from the attic sale in the agd store. i painted it w/ krylon hammered finish and clear coated it. no powder coat. i have no skills when it comes to finishes other than polishing, so i cheated :)

Big'n slo

The hammered finish threw me. I thought it was strange that the sandblaster removed the coating so fast.

yeah man, it's my "secret formula."

looks ok, hides flaws, wow's the noobs and generally helps to inflate my already exaggerated ego :)

All pumpmags are cool

I really liked Muzikman's pumpmag, it was definately 'old school' with a Crown Point barrel and Six Pack :)

Here is my pump mag. Autoresponse frame, for when you just got to dump the paint,LX bolt and custom milled vert body.

taw how does the autoresponse work with the pump? and how does LX work with it. how do you get it to not recock? does the pump rod damage it?

cougar, love those purple parts! Nice!

I had my XValve with LX in my pumpmag one day. It worked fine, LX included.

just curious with the LX how did you make it not recock? did you just add the buffer like you do for a regular setup?

In all honesty dude why did you get warp feed on a pump mag, a v revvy could keep up w/ it???

I threw the spring with it's special bumper behind the bolt, and everything worked fine. :) Really, When the LX is at the rest point, it acts just like a L7 bolt. It just sits there wondering why it's stuck. :D

I also have an auto-response frame on it too, and when I don't have the pump kit installed, the warp/AR frame makes for one mean mag... This was my primary gun that I just had a little fun with ;)

Not to mention the looks I get when playing pump are pretty funny!

sheesh, so nice!.....i have un unbuilt mag i was considering making into a pump, but i don't know how hard it is to do/where to get the rod and all that stuff:( so exactly how hard is it to convert a mag into a pump??

Koosh
07-24-2003, 09:44 PM
Its pretty easy. If you can build a mag, you can build a pump mag...

If you don't have it, you need a pump rail and a pump body... You can also get them milled to the pump specs from this guy:

http://www.automags.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=88222

Thats where I got my rail milled (the body was an original) along with the pump arm. Very nice quality on both.

Then you just need to pick up this:

and your good to go.
