I have a classic mag that leaks out the back of the velocity nut whenever I try to turn my velocity past about 200fps. It leaks until I pull the trigger and hold it back, at which point it stops leaking until I let go of the trigger again. I dont have level ten and I have already taken out the reg piston, cleaned it, and put on a new oring and I still dont know whats wrong.

do an overhaul of your valve.
change all the orings and other stuff
that you think looks "not ok"

haha.. at least, thats what i would do.

I did.... I changed every o ring in the entire gun and it is still leaking. I dont understand it because there would still be pressure in the valve after you pull the trigger, but it doesent leak then.

Are you sure its leaking out the velocity nut and not down the barrel or in the grip frame?
My guess would be the piston but sence you said you replaced that try replacing the reg seat maybe that will work

Im positive its leaking out the back of the velocity nut--I can feel the air coming out of the hole, and Ive already tried two seperate reg seats.

Alright first thing might sound simple in the valve 2 little holes that say oil. Try that mine leaks once in awhileand that works.

Or the other thing you might have a complete valve problem like to much presure or whatever go get it checked by ur nearest syore.

Well, I have covered everything in the entire valve with oil, so is the only other answer is my entire valve is bad?

Did you replace the on/off orings. when I first got my mag the on/off orings were messed up and it did the same thing.

Yes, all the orings have been replaced, still no luck.

Honestly, it sounds like your valve is just bad. Its as if its venting because its over pressurized safety is kicking in

When you say valve, do you mean the valve pin thing or the entire classic valve?

the thread is http://www.automags.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=93825

also, i dont know if its the same w/ the a.i.r. valve but for xvalve, the very short manual that comes w/ it says to try to do these:
AIR LEAKS:
Through the Velocity Nut:
1)possible reg. seat oring failure. replace reg. seat oring.
2)Possible reg. valve pin assembly failure. check for cracked discs. replace assembly.
3)possible piston failure. replace reg. and piston assembly.

hope that helps. go to the thread that i linked too ^, theres probably some more suggestions in there

do u have any stars left on ur valve?

Yeah, I have tried all that and I still have one star left on my valve, Its just kind of disappointing since I just traded my cocker for this gun, and I was hoping to actually get a working gun like I had given him but now I will probbably have to ship it away for 6 weeks.
