I know I know this sounds really stupid but it says that it screws into the regulator. Wouldn't this mean that it isn't even visible? Is it required for tourny play? Does it just go in place where the rear thumb adjust velocity knob is? Can I plz plz plz see a pic of one on someone's gun.

well i dont have a picture but ill try to explain
velocity lock is just that...its a means of locking your velocity adjuster via thumb adjusted or a regulator

its simple as an allen screw drilled onto a thumb adjuster making it imposible to adjust in the field after chrono

or a cap that can litterally cover the adjustments screws on foregrip regulators

so basically a mechanical device that renders your velocity adjustment doohickeys useless when playin on the field

this would be put in the back of mags if they dont have a thumb adjusting doohickey

and this is an after market thumb velocity adjusting doohickey

is it a velocity lock nut or lock down? i have one on my reg just to use as a stop so my pressure is the same whenever I pressurize it. i dont know if retro valves do, but classic valves are able to use them too. here is a picture of a lock cap/down/nut:
