Here's my dilema, I have a pair of cleats. They are good and all, but they lack protection around the toe area and and generally not to comfy after a long days play. I was looking at the Diggers and Vans Paintball shoe and was thinking about get a pair of one of them. Any info on either or a better shoe?

Thanks

I play in my soccer shoes. I have two pairs, turfs and cleats. I play in the cleats when it's really muddy, and I play in the turfs when it's normal ground. They work well for me.

nike landshark 3/4. Definatly not too heavy for paintball, after all, you run a million times more playing football. (if youre a back at least). For indoors, i wear my football turf shoes, but im concidering getting a pair of dye atcs and wearing them for indoor paintball till the treads wear out, then wearing them as normal shoes.

I have heard good things about diggers from people who have used several different types of cleats, etc.
Personally, I use inexpensive baseball cleats cost about $25. They work pretty good, but aren't as comfortable as I would like.
Just make sure you don't get metal cleats/spikes or you cannot play inflatable fields with them.

Dye ATC. Awesome traction, very very comfortable, lite, keep all dirt out, look good, and clean up with just a hose.

The Dye ATC's are great, i just got mine at IAO and I like them a lot. They run big though, so if you have to order them order half a size larger then you normally wear.

I love using my gators, because of there versatility. If I'm not wearing them at church or at a wedding I just use them to play a friendly game of paintball (center 50 here I come).;)

I would love to look into getting some of the shoes out there now that were made for paintball, however everywhere I look for them, I can not ever find them in my size. Wearing 16-17s it is kinda hard to find things to fit. I wear a pair of Addis soccer cleats. They have good toe and foot protection, as well as are fairly comfortable. The only time I try not to wear them when playing is when I play in the Compound at my field. The compound is a bunch of house trailers connected togather in a quasi circle. You can run from each trailer without stepping outside. The only problem is that inside the trailers the paint will start to coat the floor and become really slick. I have busted my butt several times in there even with regular tennis shoes. :p

Yes I'm a loser, I bought ATC's ;)

But they are amazingly comfortable and easy to run with on SOFT GROUND. my friend wears his as his regular shoes... they dont really have much cleat in them much more.

I likem I recommend them. :D

I use soccer cleats myself. I'm happy with them but maybe it's time to try something different. Looks like the ATC's or the Diggers. Anyone know where you can get them at a good price?

I wear an old pair of Tanel 360s, best paintball boots I've ever worn although they're starting to fall apart a bit now :)

Not a huge range of cleats available in the UK - will probably end up getting the DYE ATCs, although I prefer a mid boot.

Diggers are great for Paintball.

Several of the guys on my former team used to wear them. Highly recommended. Plus, they hold together well.

Well you know what to do then .....cross my palm with silver and I'll bring you some back ;)

I tried Diggers and although it is a selling point the shank is so damned unflexible it makes your feet ache, My Tanels died years ago so now I use Reebok cleats for woods and sup-air if the ground is soggy and Reebok astro turf boots for indoor and supair if the ground is hard. I have also used Nike Air sharks in two different versions but for now the Reebok suit me...either way I would never buy a boot without ankle support that would then include Dye ATC and the Avalanche/Vans shoe. I turned my ankle bad wearing a pair of semi high shoes ...never again, high top all the way.

Stanley's workboots that you can buy at payless for around 15 bucks are probably some of the best boots there are, dispite the fact that they are cheap and come from payless.

ATC's seem better for indoor if you asked me.

I think any football cleats would do great. I wear some ADIDAS football cleats and they work perfert. They're light and pretty heavy duty in material. Most people at my field wear football cleats.

While i've considered the ATCs... I HATE shoe shopping... So I just wear some beatup running shoes I probably purchased over 2 years ago..

[grin] who can afford shoes, when you have to buy paint!?

yeah, if you feel like spending the money, ATC's are awesome.
comfortable, good traction, and i love how the zip up part keeps crap out of the laces.

You probably don't want to spend this kind of money, but I use my soccer cleats. They're called pradator manics, and the are the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. 80 bucks.....but then you can play soccer to!:)
