Everyone,

As you all know, Shatnerball 2 "The Wrath of Tom!" is coming up very soon.

We need to find out who all is going.

If you are defintely attending, please post:

1. What state you will be coming from.
2. Are you flying or driving.
3. What hotel/motel will you be staying at.
4. Did you register with spplat yet or not.

The purpose of this is to help other AO members find rides and carpools if people are having issues getting out there.

Not to mention, I wouldn't mind having an AO caravan following me to the event.

The AGD Staff will be staying that the Super 8 Motel on

Binghamton, NY 13905

We will hold an AO/Wang/Blackcell (they were the originators of this) party here (my room as it is a single). Room number and date to be determined at the event. It is BYOB and the same rules apply everyone can attend, 21 and over allowed to drink.

Updated: Albinonewt (Defender of the AGD Cougar) has been very very generous to get a room for us just to party in Sunday Night after Shatnerball (very much like last year). He will be bringing a 2 level mini fridge that will be used to chill drinks in the morning until the night. Kayle is still clearing the second room for those who may be underage and not allowed to drink to have a chilling time there. Please feel free to PM me for more details. Albinonewt will also provide garbage bags, chips, and party essentials. Tips will greatly be appreciated (all proceeds go to Albinonewt, Wyn, and the cleaning staff of the hotel.

I am borrowing a KIA sportage. So I do not think I will have much room. Its sort of like a Geo Tracker and its green.

Ill be driving i-83 from Baltiimore to i-81. The drive will take 4 hours and I am leaving friday morning.

i-83 intersects i-95 In Baltimore City for those who may be coming from down south. You will need to get off and drive about 6 blocsk through Baltimore City.

I think our rate is about $50.00 a night. or at least very close to it. Check it out. It is only a 25 minute drive from the field.

I will have more details coming up very soon as to what the AGD drive schedule will be looking like.

I only used your paint the one day, I had my own for the next day :)

And its not that the paint would be a lot, I just don't feel like dropping $100 for a days play. Castle Conquest is a month later and only costs like $35.

Just got my confirm for the game today.

FYI... I saved over $150 on my airfare by flying out on the 2nd instead of the 1st (Labor Day).

Coming in fron CA. Delta Flt 5713 arrives BGM 8/29 12:42 AM.

Planning to stay at the Comfort Inn, but that might change depending on the location(s) and expected quality of the players party(s).

Still working on the mini van, might have to settel for a car. Either way, I'll have to take a cab to the hotel because none of the rental desks open until 7AM! But that will work out for the better $ wise even with the cab fare.

FYI #2... Rental car companies clock rental days from when you pick up the car. If you pick up your rental at 9am on the 1st and return it at 3pm on the 2nd, you could get hit for 2 days rental. By picking your rental up later in the day and timing its return to match your outgoing flight time, you could save as much as $100.

Well, except for the fact that they do hurt. ;) It's just most of us are used to the feeling. And they hurt doubly if you are completely not expecting it...

My speedometer goes to 150 in my cougar (V6 and stick).... I've had it to just over 130 as my top speed ... i was afraid to go faster ..lol.. but I'm sure it could of hit 150 cause I wasn't close to redlining yet.

I have a 99 v-6 cougar as well (mine's an automatic- damn NJ traffic kills your leg if you have a stick). I've had mine up to 130 as well (on PA turnpike). Of course it isn't anything nearly as nice as the AGD cougar.

I did that just to check how fast it would go. I had an Eclipse GS (stick) before it and had that at the same speed, so I wanted to check the new car when I got it. hehe, I actually got pulled over for that once ... 103 in a 65, but it was like 5am and I was heading to team practice and I just explained that I just sort of lost track of my speed since it was so early.

Since it was early and there were no cars on the freeway (and I'm pretty sure he saw my PB Gear on my seat) he let me go WITH A WARNING ... it was great!!

Then a month later I got pulled over for doing 76 in a 45 and got a ticket, but it was only civil since it JUST went from 65 to 45 around the turn and I didn' tsee it so he didn't give me a criminal ticket

Yep, Blue got back to me and just said to bring the email I got when I registered and he put my name down for our campsite. Maybe it was easier for me because someone else reserved the campsite and I'm just joining the group.

Talked to JJ this noon and got my reference number over the phone. E-mailed BLUE on the campsite, so I should have a response from him soon. Although, I did have a 12 minute conversation with JJ and was informed that the Cavalry and the Cyborg teams are about the same size. The raiders and the posse are the same size too. So as it looks right now, Shatner wont be having an advantage in the number of players. But, there are still a few more days to get your butts registered so do it now. :D

As it stands out, the caravan will be leaving sometime on Thursday. The time will be established hopefully before the week is over.

Honestly not the Motorcycle. If I could ride there I would... It's not a $$$ issue, it's a simply 'not got enough vacation time to be in the states as much as I want this year' issue :(

I've been to PSP Philly, and LI Big Game, as well as at least 3 social/private business trips to the USA as well as 4 Millennium events in Europe... I'm also going to be at World Cup.

All of that adds up to my whole vacation time :(

I really wish I could be there. :(

The first meeting spot will be at the first rest stop on the 80-90 tollway after exit 31 (???) which should be route 49 which should be east of Portage and west of LaPorte. The meeting time will be between 9:00-9:30.

There is a small store near the I-81 turnoff called the "Pump and Pantry", where you can get ice. For beer you'll have to go a ways North along the Rte 11 almost to the next town. There's a beer store on your right.
