Yes, you'll need a reverse valve if you want to run the line the same way as your current valve.

i know this may not help, but save yourself from having more trouble then its worth and get a steel braided hose instead of the macroline, they have been known to burst wide open, crack, break, etc... believe me its worth the $10-$15 tops.

alright lets not turn this into a steel braided vs. macro, but my macro line never burst and i have gone through three guns/markers with the same piece of macro line. just to give you an idea if you buy the right kind of macro you don't really need steel braided hose.

I like my steel line, but I'll take macro anyday. The reason that macro line burst is because they buy cheap macroline.

If for some odd reason you did not want to get a reverse valve, you should just be able to reverse whatever you have up front (expansion or gas-through).

DANG NEWBS!! :D :p
(i'm sorry, i just haad to say it/don't take it seriously)

You don't need a reversable X-Valve but if you want the hose on the same side as it is currently then yes, get a reverse.
