Is this a limited run deal? I am looking to get a mag right now and would hate to have these bodies pass me by before I get one.

***NOTE***

Although its on the order page.... Be aware that you have to do some rail modification to get this body to go on your rail! I have mine installed and love the neck out of it. But be aware of this fact! Oh and AGD factory wont do the modification for you as of now.

Be aware! and enjoy this like I am!

edweird -- Hey you if you dont have it already ... why dont you start a thread showing where you milled the rail, and how much you took off. That way others can get an idea of the work required.

Watch here for pics of what needs to be cut off.

Im taking the pics at this moment and waiting or some metal based sculpty to dry on my rail that I used as gap sealer so show what we accidently removed as excess during the first customer install of this part.

Oh and:

The slightly diffrent colored rough area is a type of metal sculpty that I used to show the areas that we removed that did not have to be

Same deal. Just added that stuff in so its still kind of soft and I havent had time to smooth it. But it gives you the general idea.

It's amazing what a good set of dentures can do to a rail...

indeed...

eventually I plan on getting this measured out and then have the dimentions sent to one of our own AO rail milling people willing to take on the task on a ULE rail.

Until then I guess im the keeper of the snaggletooth mag :P

but damn I love shooting it with this body!

Oks so the only milling required is on the side lip of the rail so the feed neck doesn't interfer. That's not too bad, but still annoying, if you aren't capable of doing it yourself.

Evil Bob
07-28-2003, 04:29 PM
It's not just the feed neck allowance that requires milling, it's the whole section that the feed neck threads into that must have room milled in the rail. If you look at the pic that Gunga posted, you will see that the threaded body section sticks out substantially.

I know there's a thread for this, but I've got to spread it around: I'd love a warp RIGHT ULE body.

Ok... 145 w/out shipping. have to mill my rail and that can never be good when its visible like that. Gotta get a new freak back(when I dont want to buy ANY more Smart Parts crap) and thats 65 dollars and 5 shipping. So now thats well over 200 dollars to save how many Oz's? the warp ule is 3.9 oz. How much does an stock warp left chrome body weigh? I bet blackVCG knows.

PS: Just thinkin about the smart parts thing, if it does happen, Electro's would be out ot style, and the ULE trigger for the mag would be the best bet for everyone. Maybe this might not be such a bad thing after all. The whole suing for past markers made is B.S.

edweird

well yeah its light.... but once you get it on its such a pimp body if your a dedicated warp user like I am.

jtoothman25
07-28-2003, 11:06 PM
I already have a warp mainbody.. its just not ULE. I'd only be saving on weight. Maybe i'm stronger than you pansies, and i dont have my mommie giving me money. Just playin. ;)

So, are Shartley or anyone else in the custom work biz willing to do the milling work on these? I don't trust myself not to make a mockery of my rail, and what good is a flashy, kick-*** mainbody if you have a fugly rail?

why would AGD sell them if you had to do a mod to your gun, and even if you did, why wouldn't they fix it?

Welcome to AO! AGD informed us of the modification needed to use the ULE body a few months ago. The consensus was that it was better to mill the rail than to have the angle of the breach in a bad position. With the body this way, the paint will flow into the gun without problems.

Hey edweird, would you say thats about an 1/8in of rail modifications or more? Thanks, I just bought mine today and just wanted to see how much Im going to have to remove.

I dont have a dial micrometer handy to give you a precise measurement... But it appears to be about an 1/8th of an inch. Also dont forget about the contours of the rounded ends or your rail will have a small gap like mine does.

I've done 3 rail mods for warp ULE bodies and a .15" deep cut in the rail has worked for each of them.
