Steelrat

You know, I always wondered why JMJ and such didnt shave away that useless tube behind the bolt. I always figured there was some mechanical reason they didnt.

I'm very interested to see how it looks when it's assembled and anoed.

Yeah what other cuts did you make? There's no cosmetic milling, but did you thin a lot of the body metal off? At first I thought this was before the cutting, but then I realized the back of the gun was gone.

Look at the trigger frame. It looks like he milled away everything but the part of the body that the screw goes into.

I think this is in the 2nd pic

Hehe needs more milling:D On the top tube, are you going to put something at the back as an extra safety precaution so the bolt doesnt fly out and smack you?

magmonkey
08-02-2003, 10:37 PM

Man, that thing is dead sexy. I'm thinking you need to start producing some magmonkey custom vikings:D. Like others have asked: What would be the cost to have the milling and anno done like that?

Benfica4ever
08-07-2003, 06:59 PM
Ummm
Who makes viking?

Jon/xpm
08-07-2003, 07:21 PM

Paintballzer
08-07-2003, 08:29 PM
Hey man that looks sooo hott. Im not too big on cutting down on top tube, but it still looks nice man. J/W though, how much did they charge you for the raw body?

magmonkey
08-07-2003, 08:45 PM
the way these come are in raw form you send aka $730 and they send you the aluminum .... you get it milled and annoed send it back to them they test it to make sure it passes their test and they assemble it and send you back your viking

Paintballzer
08-07-2003, 08:54 PM
Ah, i was thinking more of JUST the bodies, not the internals and all that other "stuff"....thanks though

RetroEclipseMan
08-07-2003, 10:05 PM
That's not a bad deal. So how much would it cost me if I got a raw viking and sent it to you to have it milled similar to that and then just a single color anno? I was looking to get a viking in a month or 2 and am interested. That's if you will do it.

magmonkey
08-08-2003, 04:24 AM
we will do it but let us get this one back from aka just to make sure we kept them happy first then I will goute you a price

WickeDKlowN

Steelrat
09-07-2003, 10:33 PM
Im still a little worried about the thickness of the metal behind the bolt pin, or does the ram not let the bolt move further back anyways?

If you could, I'd love a PM on how much this milling costs and the process for getting it done. Thanks.
