I am searching for an adjustable bore barrel system, and I am looking for the opinion of AO'ers to which systems are best. If anyone has experience with ACI Graffiti(sp?), Ronin Gear Katana, Scepter, Pipe, or any other system, I would appreciate the input of anyone who cares to respond.
And, because of the current Smart Parts suit, I am not considering a Freak.

:D

scepter and pipe would be your best bet. OTP is decent also. But good luck finding a pipe kit in stock

hammer head or long bow are the best

I'll have to throw my vote in for the EVIL Pipe. I played all last weekend with mine, and because the porting doesnt start for a good 8-9 inchest into the barrel, it makes for a nice barrel. I liked it much better than the freak setup I had. [minor differences]

Only problem is being able to find one for sale.

Scepter... porting is only at the tip.

I slapped an Evil Pipe on my X-Mag for a big game last week-end and it rocked. Very precise and it adds a loud intimidating sound to your Automag. With this kit, you don't need to worry about sleeves, you just change your backs and voila!

I don't think they make a Pipe for the twist lock mags thought.

More scepter showing the inserts and the tip up close.

go for the scepter man, trust me, go for the scepter. If you odnt go for the scepter, get the J&J edge kit, same deal as the pipe, but better workmanship as far as im concerned, and its cheeper

Anyone else notice you can buy four or five CP barrels for the cost of most barrel kits?

I currently shoot a .689 CP barrel... love it

If I ever need different size... another barrel

Lets me buy a kit piece by piece, and Im sorry, two piece barrels jsut do not seem like a good idea to me - that seam... (of course I am sure there is science against me)

< Scepter user...... Highly recomended

I think the lack of Freak recommendations is funny though

I just dont want to buy a freak because of the Smart Parts lawsuit, unless someone gives me a good reason to.

Not too familiar with most of the other kits with the exception of pipe and freak. I was looking into this barrel kit from empire

you really arent supporting sp if you buy it used... dont buy anything new from them, thats all:)

you probably can find a freak kit at a decent price on here. i did

good luck

Maybe I'll take a look in the dealer forum or E-bay for a "pre-lawsuit" freak. However, I think the scepter or pipe is what im leaning towards..... depends on how much cash I can scrounge up.

A friend got a longbow setup, and I have been using it on my emag as well. So nice. Well worth the high price.

On a few reccomendations I ordered a scepter earlier this week, I don't have it yet but I'm looking foward to getting it.

My buddy was telling me about the Hammerhead ones the other day, and apparently they are pretty slick

Scepter= good
Longbow= good

both are quality kits. I used to own a scepter and I can say that it's probably one of the better kits that I've used. It did make my marker a little louder though, I can say that.
