pump games at Shatnerball

The idea of playing some pump games at Shatnerball was brought up in one of the other threads. There was a fair bit of interest, but nothing firm was decided.

Who's in?

Friday evening or Saturday morning?

We can narrow down a time & place to meet up when we have an idea of numbers & favourite time.

My buddy and I are good for either time.

Are you planning for a stock class game or just a pump game?

I have my old phantom, but it has CA and elbow feed (to hopper).

we'll probably get more people if it's just pump, vs. trying to get a for real stock class.

I was thinking pump-class games. Of course, stock-guns are always welcome. My club usually plays mixed stock/pump games, anyway.

I can bring an extra pump-gun.

I figure we can play with 8-10 guys, though I doubt Blue will assign us a field and a ref with that few players.

jeffy, then count me in, il be out there lively with the sydarm! i appreciate you being lienient in that area, hell, you guys have the advantage! you have quick changes! the sydarm takes a good 10 turns to get the co2 puncturing mechanism out, then another 10 ack in! not to mention i only get like 16 shots.... :)

I've got a sidekick semi. It's a 10rd, 12gr pistol type marker. Does that count?

hell if we start allowing all types of 12 grams pistols, we could make this a much bigger game. I've got a pt extreme and a crappy brass eagle semi pistol I could lend out too.

As I see it, those little pistols are fine. The limited magazine size, and 12gr puts them in the same sort of limited-tech class.

I just want to get in some fun games with lots of movement, and no spraying paint.

Unfortunately, I won't be there for Shatner. However, Ladymarshal and Marshalfounder Jim Masse will be there. You can bet if there's a pump game, they'll be right out in front-Missy with a NightmareLB and Jim with his classic KP.

Even if it's not 'official', I thnk we shoul do it. Just let the "dudes with pumps" go off to a field, and take it over for a while. :)

If I can I'll loan a gun to Tom Kaye, if he doesn't have a pump mag laying about. :)

Actually I think Crash (www.stockclasspaintball.com) and the Gunslinger (www.gunslingerspaintball.com) guys have been talking with Blue about this all. About organizing a small event, 10 or so teams max, inside the Castle Aaarrgh walls.

But I just can't remember if it was a regular tournament open class. Or if it was pump-only.

Either way, I'm in. Not like I don't have enough pumps.

I hear you, datapimp69. I'm arriving Friday afternoon, and plan to get all the regstration business out of the way early. Then I'll probably start on the beer. ;)

I suggested 9am because we don't have all day. Per the Shatnerball website, we only have access to the fields until 2pm on Saturday. I'd really like to get in 10 games before then, if we can.

For a location:

how about over by the museum building? It's a barn like structure just below the ridge that Ghost Town sits on. I can't recall if there is a sign on it. Meph?

Blue Hanse had not originally planned or anticipated for pump-specific games, and was not overly happy about my request a mere ten days beforehand. But since he is such a nice guy, he will make a ref and a field available for us.
