So.......

First, can you do that to an E-mag rail?

Second, can you mill out the inside of the E-mag rail?

Third, how much would it cost to get one in gloss black?

That is the sweetest thing I have seen in a while for the mag.

Oh it reminds me of like those Nike sneakers with the zipped or like a Sony CD player or something. Just the white one though.

Very nice.... But is it a sluggo milled down or a block to finished product? I have heard of some bodies(not mentioning any names) have had issues with tolerances, and things not lining up properly. Before i spend money I need to know these things ;) Thanks

08-14-2003, 12:11 PM
Will this come with duel detents?

nicad
08-14-2003, 12:17 PM
these will be milled from true AGD Slugs and AGD rails.. no worries about tolerances here. :)

no warp styles until there is a warp Slug available..

sniper- rendering black is the least of concerns in the progam i use.... so.. so.. THERE! :-p

there's too much flat on that spot for the overal body, it doesn't fit right.

hey Ken whats up? :)

sorry about not posting in a while yall.
im still alive.. but have been locked in a room hammering out toolpaths for this thing.
to answer a few re-occuring questions:

yes it would be possible to mill an Emag rail with this. I dont have one here so I havent been able to spec one out and model it to carve on. Im sure this is something we will take care of in the near future, cause this would make a VERY nice Emag setup. :)

they will be available as soon as i run proofing paths and multiple test runs on both the bodies and the rails. im working extra hard on this design to get the milling cost and cleaning/polishing costs as low as possible. Since this design incoperates the rail (it doesnt HAVE to, the body will work just fine on any rail you already have), that alone adds to the cost.

I plan to mill the first Dallara body/rail in the next few days. I assure you I will post pics asap! :)

back to work..

i'll give you my emag rail if you need one to get the measurements if you need it. cause i oh so plan on getting one of t hese

lol eh, why do i get the feeling you posted this in the wrong thread?

shinobidice
08-15-2003, 02:15 PM
would it be possible to have the people send you rails to mill that would go with thier bodies? like say i send you my rail and $x then you send me rail + body? Theoretically it should work out fine if they are milled seperately but so they match up right? or would you need to do them together to make sure they mathc up?

All I can say is SIGN ME UP!!!! You got a definate pre order here. I think that is the best effort anyone has done to date. PM or E-mail me with details of what you need to get one of these started for me.

nicad
08-16-2003, 02:49 AM
it should be theoretically possible to to mill the rail seperatly.. but couldnt gaurentee a perfect alignment.. should be close enough tho.

have been and still am working on getting one of these properly milled out. slow progess...
will update again later.
