i dont care how my gun looks, if it's gonna shoot pretty damn fast with little almost NO kick whatsoever then i'll take it!

i shot one of the shockers in the original batch, and let me tell you, those things RIP!

They're not going to sell the new maxflow until the stock of old ones is gone...

I know the new Maxys are smaller than the older Max-flows but that still isn't saying much. How do the new Max-flows compare to other adjustable tanks on the market?

The new max flos arnt ready yet. I talked to a Smart Parts person yesterday at Philly PSP. I got to hold and shoot the new shocker, and OMG this thing rips. Its so light and its extremly fast.

is it just me, or does the reg look a little beefier than the skinny little one thats on all the pics of the blue shockers...

cris8762

it's not a reg, it's a gas thru foregrip

LeF_11

Actually, it is a reg kinds of...

When the new maxflows come out then you will be able to put the internals from one of the new maxflows into that little gas through grip, and you will have the new smart parts vert maxflow. If you want to read up on it a bunch to go to www.impulseownersgroup.com and go to the shocker section, theres a bunch of stuff on there from a guy who got to take a tour of the factory and talked to the guy who invented it.

If your smart then you'll wait until they actually start seling the shockers, the ones that are out now were put out just so they could finally be out. The ones that are out now will be the only ones out until the new maxflow and shocker vision board are ready.

Have these been released for sale yet, cause paintballgear has their links up to buy, but all of them are out of stock.

Pbgear just put that up there so everyone will know that they are going to carry them. Only like real big smart parts dealers have gotton 03 shockers so far.

I just picked mine up saturday- Black- nice gun, shot about 3/4 of a case at an open play- very light, very nice guns to shoot. I don't think its ugly a bit-although I am glad they changed the front grip from the proto pictures- Mines #282 vision ready, once that comes out, although I didn't chop a ball at all, running 175 psi to shoot around 280fps, and that should go down a little once the gun wears in some.

The max flo is right there with the tank screwed in it. Are you blind.

And slip, I'll ignore the "03 shockers are uber ugly comment." *Looks at some Xmag pics.*

But it's not the new Max-flow. The new Max-flows are supposed to be smaller and lighter.

I don't think the Shocker looks that great either but then again I've seen uglier guns

Heres a pic of mine- basically the new max flow will be smaller/lighter, but probably will not work much better then their old one. Mine came with the new style AA barrel, but I had an old barrel lying around and put it on just for laughs.

warped1, Why do you always have to make smart comments. everytime you reply to a thread you say something stupid, like "your Retarted" and "your stupid".

And those MaxFlos arnt the new Max Flos smart guy. They released some Shockers without MaxFlos, and I'm guessing they released more with the old ones.

yeah, for the most part...if not all of them that were released to dealers came with matching freak and 2nd gen maxflos

I don't know, they are deffinatly an improvement on the original shockers.

PBgear is advertising them at 825 with vision, 699 without. Thats pretty good, i would rather get a Shocker then a MAtrix for around the same price, the Shocker is more compact and alot lighter.

I've seen one in person, i wasn't very impressed. I dry fired it for a little bit, nothing out of the ordinary. One of the guys that was playing with it that night said it had severe drop off when he had any kind of decent rapid fire. Not to good from my eyes.

I checked one out at IAO. Not all that impressive to me. I do think that this was a smart revision to the Shocker though. It is lighter and better than previous versions, but again not all that it was hyped up to be, IMHO

man, i got to hold one of these finally, and it was sweet. the lightest trigger i've ever felt- faster than the speed I had.

Really, im not too impressed by them either. I shot 2 different shockers at the iao, and while i will say it was an improvement over the old style, it isnt all that special.

THey still suffer from air eficiency as well. I tihnk it would get about 700 shots off of a 45/45 and that really isnt good. i just remember having crowds of people, about 7 or 8 of them, and after one kid ripped on it etc, it would go down the line, and the last 2 or 3 kids wouldnt get any play time, because it would die.

I got to shoot one at the last cfoa at myrtle beach. Bleh,

Hmm, I got to shoot a couple hoppers of paint through one the other day and I must say it was incredibly fast. Also the halo I used was low on batteries so I got to see it pinch some paint also. It did suffer from some of the worst shot drop off ive seen in a while though. It was to the point that if you shot a long fast string with it ('empty a full halo by walking the trigger' type of string :))the last ball wouldnt make it out of the barrel. Im guessing this is a dwell issue but since the new shockers dont come with manuals yet no one knew how to adjust it

Man SP must have really rushed this marker out. I know people were complaining about it taking so long to come out. But no instruction manual at all?? And if you buy I Shocker with vision you have to send it back to SP to get the vision upgrade later....

j.t.
08-19-2003, 10:06 AM
I was told the reason they have no instruction manuals is because they were shipped directly from the factory, rather then to the distributors first. Still doesn't make much sense to me. They could atleast include a parts diagram or something.

I made a Shocker vs Xmag thread over on the BC forums. Need to clean it up a bit, but that will come with time.

After using the shocker for a day, I love it. It shoots well, very fast trigger, very light and feels alot like my X-mag. This may be my new marker of choice, but only time will tell.
