file type question?

How would you go about making a flash (flash player 6) file into a file usable by Aol Instant Messenger (AIM) for someones buddy icon.

I am asking because i was asked by a friend to make them a custom buddy icon and i said i would but ive got the flash player file and windows wont recognize it as a file usuable for a buddy icon.

I know it says only graphic files but there are o' so many moving buddy icons, and i assume (just because its so commonly used) that they were made in flash

You have to convert it to a .gif file.

Read the manual, or a tutorial to figure out how, with your particular program.

thats what i figured :P im just really tired right now and didnt want to waste time on trial and error when i could be nerding away if someone on AO knew the answer!

just use that to make buddy icons...easy as hell..just make some still frames (*.gifs), and then merge them w/ this program. simple.
