Problem: When i gas up my E-mag at the start of the day, it has a tendency to vent air out the back of the valve. Even if i'm low on air, or if i'm shooting 250fps.

So i unscrew the air, play with the safety or mess with the velocity adjuster and keep trying until i get it to gas up correctly.

What's going on here, and what would i need to do to get it to stop?

Thanks!

PS, i have an older E-mag if it matters, i think the serial on the valve is in the 200's.

Sounds like maybe a worn reg piston? I just got my E-Mag a month ago or so. I don't yet have a lot of experiance with the RT Valve system.

Check the o-ring on the regulator piston.. and replace it even if its new.

I would say clean the valve out. How much oil are you using when you lubricate your gun before you air up? You may be using too much oil. This will cause the urethane o-rings to leak until all excess oil is blown off.

Too much oil is as bad as not enough. Many people stress the importance of oil for mags, but they forget that much of that need is only for the front level 10 o-ring and shouldn't actually be passed through the valve.
