Hello, I'm a long time reader and first time poster with a plan.
I've started a Project Gun that I want to pay homage to the x-mag and I need some help with it. I was hoping you guys could help me out to the best of your abilities.
I've aquired an E-mag grip frame and battery pack, seeing how this seems to be a great "ground" to start on I had some electronic questions. As I've not been able to find any sensible diagrams my first question is about the X-mag's eye system. The X-mag uses two electronics boards near I can figure- One in the frame for firing and general modes, and a second in the top of the trigger guard for the eyes. I've read conflicting stories that these eyes are integrated into the valve and based on a magnet which doesn't make any sence to me. Are the eyes in fact normal style break reflective or do they reside in the bolt?
Secondly, my gripframe does not come with any kind of board. I know AGD sells the board and 'noid together but I was curious does the board come with the ace board? I did not see it available on their website, and how easy would be to use a different board, it seems to me that the board is only responsible for setting off a solenoid and related garbage that goes with that task.
Thanks guys, *MANY* more questions to come, this thing is going to be piece work.
