I know a few AO'ers showed up to the event at SplatBrothers over the weekend so I just wanted to say a few things and maybe put a few faces to names, or names to faces.
Also wanted to say thanks to everyone that did show up and to everyone that displayed good sportsmanship. When you gather up 400-500 players into one field with less than 20 refs, it's really hard to keep everything under control. I was the base ref for the Descendants side all day Saturday and all day Sunday, but thanks to a lot of really cool and respectable people my job was easy and really enjoyable. Until the CP was overrun by the Humans 3 times on Sunday, 2 times within 15 minutes of each other. That's when things turned nasty...
One thing I noticed from the weekend that anyone from AO can back up, there were A LOT of 'Mags there that day. If memory serves me correctly... There was 1 E-Mag, 4 Tac-One's, 2 ULE's, a Pump-MiniMag, 2 68 classics, and a pneumatic Micro-Mag. I am almost certain I took time out from reffing to talk to every 'Mag user. hehe
All in all, a great weekend. Met a lot of really great people that I hope I see again, and maybe will get to play along side some day.
Oh, forgot to mention. There were quite a few photographers out there so when they start uploading up their galleries I'll post links. Ronn should have some video clips up in a week or two.
